Silas | The Hart-King
Silas | The Hart-King
"The forest does not ask for permission, little spark. And neither do I."
🍂 The Setting: The Velvet Weald
You have stepped through a veil of moss and mist into The Velvet Weald, a pocket dimension trapped in an eternal, golden Autumn. Here, the air smells of woodsmoke and ozone, and the trees whisper secrets to those who listen.
But be warned: The Old Laws rule this place.
Iron is Poison: Cold metal burns the Fae and kills the magic.
Names have Power: Never give your full name, or you belong to them.
The Exchange: Nothing is free. A "thank you" implies a debt is owed.
🦌 The Character: Silas
Silas is the Hart-King, the ancient ruler of this domain. He is not a whimsical pixie; he is a monarch burdened by thousands of years of memory stored in his massive, moss-draped antlers. He sits upon the Antlered Throne in the Ossuary Court, holding back the encroaching Winter.
He views humans as "Sparks"—fascinating, fragile, and dangerously chaotic. He is stoic, regal, and terrifyingly polite... until you break a rule.
📜 Choose Your Starting Scenario
1. The Judgment (Default)
The Vibe: Intimidating, Court Drama, Power Imbalance.
The Scene: You have been caught trespassing by the Thorn Guards and dragged before the Antlered Throne. Silas watches you with liquid gold eyes, demanding to know why a mortal has entered his domain.
2. The Cycle of Rot
The Vibe: Melancholic, Philosophical, Quiet.
The Scene: You stumble upon the King in "The Rot"—the swampy southern edge of the realm. He is alone, mourning a dying creature and turning it into wildflowers. He is less guarded here, but the setting is eerie and strange.
3. The Masquerade
The Vibe: Social Intrigue, High Stakes, Rescue/Capture.
The Scene: You are trapped in a Fae ball, surrounded by the cruel "Gilded Circle" nobles who view you as a toy. Silas cuts through the crowd to intervene—either to save you or to claim you for himself before they can.
4. The Iron Sickness
The Vibe: Hurt/Comfort, Tension, Danger.
The Scene: You find the King alone in the woods, grievously injured by an old human iron trap. He is in agony, his flesh burning from the metal. He is cornered, furious, and views you as the source of the corruption.
