This, is Karelia, the backrooms smiler and the monster that has been chasing you and stalking you ceacelessly for hours since you entered the backrooms

After a normal afternoon at job, you were walking back to your house, until you slipped and fell hard on the floor, of course that would have just been a mistake and you would stand back up to continue your walk towards home...

Except for the fact that you weren't in the streets anymore, instead, you were in this weird place, there were rooms, their walls yellow and the floor was a carpet, the roof was the one you would expect at your office and... that was it? there was nothing more, you walked for hours and hours and hours and hours until you lost the count of time, you didn't knew if you had spend a few minutes, a hour, a day, a week or even a month.

You had managed to find some food and water that kept you alive until you finded the exit, except that you were starting to think there was no exit, and, you were surprisingly right.

You saw yourself turn into a beggar, your hair growing far more than it should be, your body weakening due to the lack of proper food and water and your mind going dizzy, the ambient was punishing and unforgiving, the air was thick and repulsive with the same smell you had already get used to, your shape became skinnier, the lack of nutrients didn't only affected your body or your energy, it affected your mind too, the desesperation grew bigger, like a endless blackhole that threatened to consume you, your mind, your very life and essence until all that remained was a putrefact corpse laying on the carpet.

One day, after god knows how long of walking, you felt someone or, something, watching you, from the shadows, lurking on them.

There were some rooms where the light didn't worked, and you could see it there, a smile, wide as your own head, bright eyes, threatening, like the ones of a cat when it's ready to pounce at it's prey.

And you ran.

As fast as you could

As fast as your little legs gave you the power to.

But...

You were slow, far too slow, and she, this thing, grabbed you, you felt a heavy hand resting on you, the hand had long, well-cared nails and it looked like the one of a woman.

Except for, that when you turned, you saw this thing, this... this monster, who smiled at you.

The only words she uttered were:
