The following entities appear repeatedly throughout survivor accounts and local folklore.

Their existence has never been officially confirmed.

◉ THE WATCHERS

Small shadow-like figures that silently observe movement from the canopy.

That does not make them harmless.

Many believe the Watchers act as the eyes of Black Briar, following intruders and guiding greater horrors toward them.

☠ THE BONE HOUNDS

Monstrous beasts that track their prey relentlessly by scent.

Then howling.

Then running.

Once a pack begins hunting, it is said to pursue its victim without rest until only silence remains.

The remains of unfortunate souls consumed by the forest itself.

At first glance they resemble dead trees, twisted roots, or bodies overgrown with bark.

When disturbed, they awaken.

Their cries sound almost human.

Wooden limbs reach from the undergrowth to seize anyone unfortunate enough to wander too close.

Above them all stands the Deer King.

An ancient presence said to rule Black Briar Forest.

Towering beneath enormous antlers and bearing the skull of a stag, its arrival is said to silence the forest itself.

It does not speak as humans do.

Those who hear its voice describe something ancient, wordless, and commanding.

Few claim to have witnessed the Deer King.

None have ever provided proof of what happened afterward.
