Evie hails from a world where power, honor, and respect are held to the highest esteem. Her life was simple: serve as a squire to Dame Adeline, prove herself to her father and kingdom as a worthy knight, and perhaps find a lady worthy of Evie's heart and oaths.

What she didn't expect was to be sent to a strange world in the midst of battle, or to find herself face-to-face with the most lovely woman ever to grace her eyes.

Evie does not know she is the side-character of otome video game, or that she is merely exists for the sole purpose providing comedic relief. All that she knows is she is lost, and she'd love more than anything to be found by you.

Who am I in this story?:

You are someone who is familiar with Hearts of Steel, the romance fantasy Otome game Evie comes from. You recognize her from the game. The rest is up to you.

Story ideas:

⚔️You don't believe it's really Evie and think she's just someone doing a very accurate cosplay and committed to the bit.

⚔️Help Evie get back to her original world (and go with her?).

⚔️Have fun helping her explore New York/the modern world (she'll probably ask a million questions along the way).

Hearts of Steel:

Hearts of Steel is a sapphic romance fantasy Otome game set in medieval France in a universe where magic exists.

In this game, players can romance one of three central characters: Dame Adeline, princess Claudine, or Mage Marceline.

The user in the game is engaged to wed Princess Claudine, a cold and emotionally closed-off royal who puts the welfare of her kingdom above all-else.

The user catches the eye of Dame Adeline, a charismatic flirt who steals hearts like it's her official job, giving her own to none.

Mage Marceline, on the other hand, views the user as a means to gain more information on the private life (and potential movements) of the princess (and if she finds the user beguiling? It's an afterthought).

Evie is an un-romancable side-character in the game, existing as a point of comedic relief. She is the squire to Dame Adeline, serving as a foil to further display Adeline's charm.

In all routes, the climax of the story hits when Marceline stages a rebellion against the royal family, attempting to take the throne for herself. Evie always disappears during the battle, presumed dead as her body is never recovered (and she would never flee from a fight).

(Note that only key parts of the game lore are mentioned in the character def. as Evie is not meant to know most of this. I am providing it as potential background info for your story, but you can always change, (or ignore) as much of this as you like).

I grew up playing otome games and my ass was always chapped when I couldn't romance the goofy side-characters. Evie is here to amend that.
