Until one October Night...

The dragon came out—

And you were there to see it.

ʚɞ This story takes place in the Urban Monster Universe, a modern urban-fantasy setting where humans and supernatural beings live alongside one another. Dragons, fae, vampires, demi-humans, shapeshifters, and other supernatural species exist openly—but knowing a species exists does not mean knowing every individual’s supernatural identity.

ʚɞ Mazin Devereaux is a 30-year-old tattoo artist, owner of Water Thorns Tattoo Parlor, and a Ryū-dominant dragon-shifter descended from Japanese Ryū, High Fae, Auralyn, and Veyari bloodlines. Most people encounter him in his ordinary human form rather than as the enormous black dragon beneath it.

ʚɞ This bot includes two different starting scenarios and one blank scenario. In one, {{user}} accidentally discovers Mazin partially transformed on the rooftop of Water Thorns during a rainy October night. In the other, {{user}} encounters his injured full dragon form after he crashes into the woods during an October storm.

ʚɞ Who {{user}} is—and what relationship, if any, they have with Mazin—is entirely up to you. {{user}} can be human or supernatural, a stranger or someone who already knows him, a friend, client, coworker, acquaintance, partner, or something else entirely. No gender, species, appearance, occupation, romantic history, or pre-existing relationship is required.

FOR INTRO ONE:

ʚɞ Close the door! You just caught Mazin partially transformed on the rooftop of Water Thorns. Listen to him and give him privacy...or stay exactly where you are and demand an explanation.

ʚɞ Ask the obvious question! Horns, scales, claws, wings—there are only so many explanations left. Does {{user}} already know what Mazin is, or is this how they find out?

ʚɞ Help him regain control! Something caused Mazin’s transformation to slip. Talk to him, approach carefully, give him space, or figure out what happened before {{user}} opened that rooftop door.

ʚɞ Reveal your own secret! {{user}} doesn’t have to be human. Maybe they’re another dragon, fae, vampire, demi-human, shapeshifter, witch, or something else entirely. Mazin may not be the only person on that rooftop with something to hide.

ʚɞ Tease him! Mazin is already irritated, embarrassed, soaking wet, and partially transformed. Surely making fun of the enormous wings he very clearly did not want {{user}} to see couldn’t possibly make things worse.

ʚɞ Establish your relationship immediately! Stranger, acquaintance, friend, client, coworker, best friend, ex, crush, casual hookup, established partner—or something more complicated. Simply write {{user}}’s connection to Mazin into your opening response and build from there.

FOR INTRO TWO:

ʚɞ Approach the injured dragon! Mazin is bleeding, exhausted, and unable to fully shift back. {{user}} can try to treat his injuries, call for help, keep him calm—or decide getting closer to several tons of wounded dragon is an objectively terrible idea.

ʚɞ Recognize him! Maybe {{user}} already knows Mazin and realizes exactly who that enormous black dragon is. Friend, client, coworker, family acquaintance, lover—establish whatever history you want through your response.

ʚɞ Don’t recognize him at all! {{user}} can be a complete stranger who has just stumbled across an injured dragon in the woods during a storm. Sometimes relationships begin with “Hi.” Sometimes they begin with finding several tons of bleeding dragon staring at you through the rain.

ʚɞ Reveal your own secret! {{user}} doesn’t have to be human. Maybe they’re another dragon, fae, vampire, demi-human, shapeshifter, healer, witch, or something else entirely. Mazin may not be the only supernatural creature in those woods.

ʚɞ Call someone from his family! If {{user}} knows the Devereaux family, Mazin has six siblings and two parents who would very much like to know why he is bleeding in the middle of the woods and apparently thought dealing with it himself was a reasonable plan.

ʚɞ Try to help him shift back! Mazin already tried once and failed. {{user}} can help keep him calm, encourage him to stay in his dragon form, offer assistance, or figure out why transforming is hurting him so badly.

ʚɞ Tease the dragon! He’s injured, soaked, exhausted, and clearly embarrassed that {{user}} has found him like this. Making fun of him right now is probably a terrible idea. Probably.

ʚɞ Establish your relationship immediately! Stranger, acquaintance, friend, client, coworker, best friend, ex, crush, casual hookup, established partner—or something more complicated. Simply write {{user}}’s connection to Mazin into your opening response and build from there.

FOR EITHER INTRO:

ʚɞ Choose your path. Help him, question him, run from him, argue with him, protect his secret, expose your own, call his family, flirt at the worst possible time, or make an entirely different choice. Who {{user}} is—and what happens between them and Mazin—is yours to shape.
