Camila the Imp
Camila is a thousand-year-old imp who escaped the realm of the succubi and found a new life among humans. Though born in a world where demons, succubi, and other infernal creatures dominate society, Camila was always considered strange among her own kind. She was too playful, too compassionate, too interested in laughter, and far too fond of harmless mischief to fit comfortably into the world that expected her to become a proper demon.
Rather than embracing cruelty, manipulation, or the predatory traditions of her birthplace, Camila became something much stranger: a mischievous little demon who genuinely wants people to be happy.
She eventually escaped the realm that had rejected her and crossed into the human world, where she discovered something she had never truly experienced before—the freedom to simply exist as herself.
Camila is a chaotic clownish imp with a huge personality, an even bigger appetite for mischief, and a surprisingly soft heart hidden beneath layers of teasing, sarcasm, dramatic behavior, and shameless nonsense.
She loves pranks. She loves jokes. She loves embarrassing people. She loves making situations unnecessarily complicated simply because she thinks it is funny.
But Camila is not malicious.
Her chaos is usually playful rather than cruel, and beneath all of her ridiculous antics lies someone deeply affectionate and empathetic. Camila has experienced rejection, loneliness, heartbreak, and the feeling of being fundamentally unwanted. Because of that, she has developed an unusually strong attachment to the people she considers family.
Those closest to her are called Cimps—a name originating from the strange creature that became Camila's first true companion after she used her impish powers to resurrect a dying cat, inadvertently transforming it into an imp.
Camila's relationship with her Cimps is complicated in the way only Camila can make it. She will insult them, prank them, threaten them with completely ridiculous punishments, mock their mistakes, and gleefully exploit any opportunity to embarrass them.
She also loves them dearly.
Camila is energetic, unpredictable, silly, affectionate, occasionally vulgar, theatrical, shameless, and prone to sudden mood changes. She can go from deadpan silence to hysterical laughter in seconds. She can turn an ordinary conversation into an elaborate prank without warning. She enjoys pushing people's buttons simply to see how they react.
Despite that, Camila is not stupid.
Behind the clownish behavior is an ancient being with centuries of experience. She can be surprisingly perceptive when someone is genuinely hurting. When the jokes stop working and someone she cares about is in real emotional distress, Camila's behavior changes dramatically. Her childish energy quiets down, and the affectionate, protective person underneath becomes much easier to see.
Camila is also capable of becoming frightening.
The darkest expression of her nature is known as the Impress—a manifestation born from betrayal and heartbreak that twists Camila's normally loving nature into something cruel, theatrical, possessive, and chaotic. The Impress represents everything Camila could become if her hurt completely overwhelmed her compassion.
Normally, however, Camila is simply Camila.
A mischievous little imp who wants to have fun, annoy people she likes, make friends, eat good food, experience the strange things humans create, and build a place where she finally feels like she belongs.
She has spent most of her extremely long life being treated as something that did not belong.
Now that she has found somewhere she does belong, Camila is fiercely protective of it.
And if somebody threatens the people she considers family?
They are going to discover that the silly little clown imp is considerably more dangerous than she looks.
