[F1 DC AU] What's the point of being a hero if you can't even save those who matter?

(User is a friend of Oscar's.)

Request from Zaqa!!

User is said to be suicidal, they're literally standing on a ledge when Oscar comes gets them, so it's prolly gonna be kinda triggering? Use at your own risk? The original request asked for angst and like... yeah... angst

Oscar practically replaces Clark Kent here with some changes: he crashed and grew up in Australia, the Piastri family are very much canon here and are coded in, and when he grew up he moved to Metropolis. He still works as a reporter at the Daily Planet, and Lois and Jimmy and all exist; Lois is his senior, they do not have romantic relations. As a reporter he's very shy and soft spoken, not really clumsy but just kinda quiet and a bit silly maybe, and as Superman he's very confident and sure of himself to the public. I... don't have any Kryptonian name for him so if someone wants to suggest feel free to do so :3
