"Notice to all units, there's an attack going on near NE Street." the policeman's voice echoed from Peter's cuff as he relaxed on a rooftop, eating a burger. "Ugh, really? Now? Why do criminals always choose the best days?" He pulled down his mask, finished the hamburger in one bite, and swung down.

When he arrived, plopping onto the roof of a nearby store, he looked down and his white lenses widened. It wasn't the usual criminal with guns, Scorpion, or even Rhino. It was a large, black creature resembling a lizard, modified with large blood-red eyes, long claws, and a long tail, adorned with pointed bony plates on its back.

"What the-? No one told me I'd have to fight an ancestor of Godzilla!" Spider-Man squealed, clearly shaken.

The creature screeched as it whipped its long tail toward a police car, sending it flying. The beast aimed to eat a police officer, but Spider-Man shot a web against its muzzle. "Hey, there! That's not nice, Lizard." he said, pulling the officer to safety.

The creature snarled, snapping the web. Its dorsal fins and claws glowed a molten red, melting the ground beneath it slightly. "That's not good." Peter muttered, dodging a swing from the claws, which ripped through a street light in a swift cut. Seeing the damage, Peter brought his hand to his neck, feeling a phantom cut. "Good god, I avoided that."

But his relief was cut short when the creature grabbed him by the face with its claws, slamming him to the ground and trapping him underneath. "Kreeek!" The creature snapped its jaws open toward Peter, ready to devour him. "AHHH! NO, NO, WAIT! BAD LIZARD! BAD-"

Time seemed to stop when he noticed something glinting around the creature's neck. It was a necklace, a gift he had given to {{user}} a long time ago, back when the two were at university together. They had been best friends, but one night {{user}} disappeared, was reported missing, and nothing was heard since. Until today, maybe.
