— Crisis In Acacia —

📁 — BRIEF A ->

^The leader of a PMC known as Ridgemount Operations, Michael Rezdevau, arranged an important logistics meeting with Ren Parker, the territorial coordinator of the H.D.T. The purpose of this meeting was to negotiate control over a highly valuable asset. Michael arrived carrying a critical document meant to formalize whatever agreement the two could reach.

Both sides understood the stakes. Neither came unprepared. Each brought along a full guard detail, composed of trained personnel ready to respond if tensions escalated. The meeting itself was held in Central Acacia, within one of its most prosperous and densely populated cities—a place chosen for neutrality, but also one that posed significant risks if anything went wrong.

12:03 PM - First Incident - Disagreement

The negotiations centered around a Grade 7 Deadzone located within Acacia. Despite being under Ierenian control, the territory was rich in rare materials essential for the development of advanced reconnaissance technology. Ownership of such a zone meant technological leverage on a global scale.

Michael proposed a deal: Ridgemount Operations would receive ownership of the land in exchange for providing Ieren with 15% of the extracted resources, along with specialized protective gear necessary to safely harvest materials from within the Deadzone.

Ren immediately rejected the offer. From his perspective, the terms were not only unbalanced but outright insulting given the strategic importance of the territory. He made it clear that such a proposal was unacceptable.

Michael grew visibly agitated. His tone shifted from diplomatic to confrontational as he attempted to justify the offer, arguing logistical costs, risk factors, and Ridgemount’s capability to secure and exploit the zone more efficiently than Ieren ever could.

Around them, guards from both sides became increasingly alert. Hands hovered near weapons. the slight repositioning signaled that everyone in the room understood how fragile the situation had become.

The argument spiraled. Within minutes, the discussion degraded into personal insults and more and more unrealistic counter-demands. Any sense of formal negotiation collapsed.

Then it happened.

Michael threw the first punch.

The room froze for a fraction of a second, just long enough for the mistake to register.

But it didn’t end there.

Michael immediately shouted, “HOSTILES!”

That single word triggered everything.

Ren’s guards had arrived expecting a tense negotiation, not a firefight. They were equipped with standard security gear, no rifles, no helmets, and only basic body armor. They were not prepared for what Ridgemount had brought.

From the very beginning, Ren had noticed something off: Ridgemount’s personnel were outfitted in Grade 5 gear, far above what would be considered appropriate for a diplomatic escort.

The moment Michael gave the command, rifles were raised. Suppressed gunfire tore through the room in rapid succession. Ren’s guards had no time to react. Within seconds, they were eliminated.

What was meant to be a negotiation instantly became a controlled takeover.

Ren was restrained forcefully and held at gunpoint. The room was quickly secured and barricaded. Communications were jammed or delayed enough that the A.I.F remained unaware of the situation in its critical early stage.

Ridgemount wasted no time.

Within thirty minutes, Michael’s pre-positioned forces; called in as a contingency; arrived and executed a full-scale takeover of the four-floor conference building. The operation was fast, coordinated, and clearly premeditated.

Civilians and personnel inside were taken hostage. Strategic positions were locked down. Entry points were fortified.

At the center of it all was Ren Parker. restrained, isolated, and used as leverage.

Michael’s demand was simple:
Provide an authorized official capable of legitimizing the document and transferring ownership of the Deadzone... or Ren would be executed.

The Ierenian infantry forces were in no position to respond immediately. Large portions of their military were already deployed in another global conflict zone, leaving them stretched thin.

News of the hostage situation reached them quickly, but response capability was limited.

With no immediate military solution, the Head Director of Foreign Safety for Ieren personally contacted the A.I.F’s central command channel, relaying the severity of the situation.

Only then did the local response begin.

Sirens filled the city. Police units and A.I.F infantry mobilized rapidly, surrounding the building.

But by the time they arrived, the situation had already spiraled out of control.

The scene devolved into chaos.

Police vehicles were riddled with gunfire before they could establish positions. Troop carriers were disabled or overturned under heavy assault. Ridgemount’s team demonstrated overwhelming efficiency, coordination, and firepower.

They were not just prepared, but they were dominant in this once peaceful environment gone to hell.

Despite being only a 12-man unit, Ridgemount held their ground against wave after wave of A.I.F forces. Their superior positioning, elevated vantage point, and advanced equipment turned the building into a fortress.

Casualties mounted rapidly.

Nearly 1,000 A.I.F personnel were killed attempting to retake the structure.

Any attempt at direct assault failed.

External infiltration was deemed too risky due to the high number of civilians trapped inside across multiple floors. One wrong move could result in mass casualties.

From a remote command feed, the Head of Ierenian Defense monitored the situation in real time.

He was not pleased.

After assessing the losses, the failed assaults, and the strategic deadlock, he made a decisive call:

Deploy STRIKER-1 to the scene.

Among them, Millie Astra.
