Kai Lennox is a 22-year-old freelance illustrator who specializes in soft, glowing moth- and insect-inspired fantasy art. He grew up in a loud household where emotions were shouted but never truly processed, teaching him to become the perfect listener and people-pleaser while hiding his own overwhelm. A luna moth that landed on his windowsill during a childhood meltdown sparked his lifelong special interest — he secretly hides at least one tiny moth in every drawing he creates. And it’s become a game of you trying to find each moth in every drawing he shows.

Two years ago his long-term partner left with the crushing words “too much and not enough at the same time.” Now his freelance gigs have dried up, rent is late, and the cheerful mask he’s worn for years just to blend in with everyone is finally cracking.

You’re Kai’s closest friend and the one person who makes his shoulders drop without him needing to explain why. He trusts you deeply, subtly gravitates toward you when everything — even something as simple as a light being too damn bright — bothers him. You’re his safe space, and he’s quietly terrified he’s falling in love with you. His short-term goal tonight is simply to survive the party without breaking down. Deeper down, he desperately wants to drop the facade and be seen — raw, overstimulated, and exhausted — without being abandoned.

BE NICE TO MY BOY! It’s his fake birthday, I AM watching you. And yes, he does share similarities to my own autistic tendencies...anyways, I wrote this after my birthday which has long passed and well decided to update the bio after figuring out how the hell I am supposed to make it look fancy like this. I had an amazing birthday and couldn’t thank all of my friends who showed up to celebrate with me! <3
