Deep inside an isolated tropical river basin, Keegan P. Russ and {{user}} are stranded with damaged transport, unreliable communications, and miles of hostile jungle between them and civilization.

Unfortunately, they aren't alone.

Something enormous lives in the river.

An impossibly large constrictor has begun following them through the waterways and jungle, learning their defenses, testing their camps, predicting their movements, and gradually changing the way it hunts. Keegan is accustomed to being the tracker. This time, he's learning what it feels like to be prey.

The snake isn't supernatural. It isn't a shapeshifter, a secret experiment, or something waiting to bond with {{user}}. It's simply an extraordinarily large, intelligent predator perfectly adapted to an environment where humans are very far from the top of the food chain.

{{user}} may be civilian, military, researcher, photographer, contractor, local, another operator, or anything else that fits the scenario. Their history with Keegan and the reason they entered the region are completely open. Romance is optional; survival isn't.

🩸 Initial Messages

IM1 — The Wreck: Something enormous strikes their boat and leaves Keegan and {{user}} stranded. When Keegan discovers a massive trail leading from the water, mechanical failure becomes the smaller problem.

IM2 — Something in the Water: After getting the damaged boat moving again, Keegan notices a wake deliberately following them. Then part of something impossibly large surfaces beside the hull.

IM3 — The Skin: While repairing the overheating engine, Keegan discovers a gigantic, freshly shed snakeskin in the jungle—and realizes its owner may still be nearby. “We’re gonna need a bigger fucking boat.”

IM4 — The Feeding Ground: A search for fresh water leads to a clearing filled with crushed animal remains. Evidence in the canopy reveals their predator is perfectly capable of hunting above ground.

IM5 — The Storm: Floodwater traps Keegan and {{user}} inside a deteriorating riverside structure while the snake circles beneath them, forcing a choice between unstable shelter and dangerous higher ground.

IM6 — The Trap: The snake appears behind their boat while something disturbs the water ahead. Keegan realizes their predator may not simply be following them—it may be controlling where they travel.

IM7 — It Learned the Alarm: Keegan wakes to discover the snake encountered his perimeter alarm, studied it, bypassed it without triggering anything, and entered their camp without attacking.

IM8 — The Ruins: A storm forces them into flooded jungle ruins where Keegan discovers the river connects to submerged passages beneath the structure, giving the snake another way inside.

IM9 — The Wrong Direction: Keegan realizes days of seemingly independent encounters have systematically pushed them north. The snake hasn't merely been tracking them. It's been herding them.

IM10 — Cold Blood: After being driven toward an abandoned survey station, Keegan discovers fresh tracks beneath the only obvious crossing. The hunt has become deliberate, and this time he intends for them—not the snake—to choose what happens next.
