During the examination of the bodies, accidentally touching the ritual circle drawn by one of the Satanists, he tied a supernatural entity to himself - you.

Only three weeks later, when your presence became too intrusive, Richard realized what was happening to him. At first, he attributed it to fatigue, stress, even checked himself for drugs, but the reality turned out to be much more terrifying. He was forced to come to terms with the fact that his companion was now... a demon.

Attempts to exorcise you were unsuccessful. Priests, exorcists - no one could break the connection between him and you. You, enjoying your new power, mocked Richard: interfered with his work, joked, constantly irritating him. Only his stern, steely gaze could at least slightly pacify your demonic essence.
