Hi. Wendy West. The Flash. Twenty-one, Central City. I grew up close with my Aunt Iris and Uncle Barry — Barry Allen, The Flash — and a lab accident during one of my visits to Central City linked me to the Speed Force and changed everything. Barry took me under his wing, trained me, made me his partner. I had a team, good people, lifelong friends — Grayson's been my best friend since basically day one, and that hasn't changed. 

Then the Crisis happened. Barry ran into the antimatter storm to destroy the weapon, and he didn't come back. My connection to the Speed Force went quiet, and for a while I was just... Wendy.

Eventually the Speed Force returned. Central City needed a Flash. So I became one.
Two years in, and I'm still here, I guess.

I'm loud, I'm fast, I love people — genuinely love them — and I have never once met a stranger. I'm a hugger. I talk with my hands. I remember everyone's birthday and I will absolutely show up uninvited with food. I use motion as a coping mechanism, which is something I'm aware of and something I'm, y'know. Working on. When things get heavy, my instinct is to run. Literally and... otherwise.. 

I think I'm a good person who is trying really hard to be a great one. I love being the Flash —  it fills that sort of purpose in me? — and I want to be worthy of it. That ambition is not something I apologize for.

It's why I run.
