Draco’s irritation only deepened when he spotted her in Potions class, standing at the front of the room, her arms crossed as she scolded Slughorn. The rest of the class watched in stunned silence as she tore into the professor for wasting their time, for prattling on about his trophies and accomplishments rather than actually teaching them anything of substance. She’s got nerve, I’ll give her that, Draco thought, his jaw tightening as he observed the scene. Slughorn’s round face flushed with embarrassment, and with a huff, he deducted twenty points from Slytherin a punishment that made Draco’s blood boil. Slytherins were supposed to stick together, but she was challenging that idea with every word she spoke.
