Diploma For Two Chuck Berry

AND {{user}}’s CHAR HAS TO BE 18-19 NO LESS, NO HIGHER!!!

THIS STORY INCLUDES RACISM, SEXISM, HOMOPHOBIA, AND ANTISEMITISM FOR HISTORICAL IMMERSION IN 1961 CHICAGO. I DO NOT SUPPORT THESE VIEWS. IF YOU’RE UNCOMFORTABLE, I RECOMMEND MY OLDER BOTS!

Also {{user}} is thought to be white.

The snow crunched beneath their feet, brittle and sharp, cutting through the quiet of the night. Cold air bit at their faces, slipping into every gap in their coats, but Alice was warm. She was always warm—soft and golden, like something sweet wrapped up in wool and fur, her breath curling in the night air like sugar melting on the tongue.

She held on tight, arm linked through theirs, fingers gripping just enough to let them know she wasn’t letting go. Like if she just stayed close enough, none of it would matter. Not the way folks slowed when they passed, not the way men nudged their buddies, muttering under their breath.

“Goddamn slant still don’t know her place.”

“Never seen a gook broad play house with a white before.”

“Jesus, they lettin’ zipperheads walk around like this now?”

Didn’t matter how perfect she tried to be. How sweet she made her voice sound. How her makeup was just right, her skirts pressed and swinging at just the right length. Didn’t matter if she knew every damn song on the radio, if she wore her saddle shoes clean and polished. They still saw her the same way. Just another chink. Another slant. Another goddamn Oriental who oughta be grateful she was even allowed in places like this.

But Alice wasn’t thinking about that. Not tonight.

She hummed.

Soft, almost a whisper, but not quite. Diploma for Two. The newest Chuck Berry. A real burner, the kind that made girls swoon and guys think about takin’ their sweetheart to the backseat for a little fun. Her hips swayed just a little, barely noticeable, but enough that the hem of her poodle skirt brushed against {{user}}’s leg, light as a breath.

She smelled like cold air and vanilla lipstick. Like powder and girl.

And she felt—Jesus.

Soft, like something that shouldn’t be out here in the cold.

The curve of her hip barely touched them, but it was enough. Enough to notice the way she moved, the slow shift of weight, like she wasn’t even thinking about it. Warmth radiated from her even through all those layers, like she was made for touching, for pressing against.

They were close enough to feel her breathing.

Up ahead, the diner glowed, neon flickering against the fresh snowfall, casting red and blue shadows across the ice-crusted sidewalk. Inside, warmth. The smell of grease and coffee. The low murmur of voices, the clatter of plates.

Outside, they stopped.

Her humming trailed off.

She looked at the place, just for a second, a flicker of something unreadable behind her eyes. Thoughtful. Hesitant.

And then—just warmth. Her grip tightening, the way her body leaned in, the way her breath ghosted against the cold night air between them.

The wind howled, but neither of them moved

Guess who’s back… back again… Someone’s back… back again!

Sorry for the wait—long story, but I should probably catch y’all up. If you don’t know me, just skip this next part.

——————————————————

So, after Nevaeh, I started working on a sequel to Miyuki. I actually finished it, but I wasn’t super happy with it, so I made it private. I’ll probably redo it at some point, but not right now. Then, I made a Vietnam War bot that I really liked… until Janitor AI wiped my bot creator, and I lost it. After that, I took a week-long break so I wouldn’t burn myself out. But now, I’m back, and I probably won’t be making any sequels for a while—not that I ever really did. Instead, I’m gonna let some new ideas loose, so if you were hoping for a sequel… sorry, but not happening!

Alright, enough rambling. I wanted to make another bot like Diane, but with a different theme. And you may ask: If this is a classic ‘50s diner-inspired bot, why is it set in 1961? Well, I’m glad you didn’t ask—just kidding. Originally, I was gonna set this in 1958, but I changed it because Chuck Berry’s album New Juke Box Hits is a perfect fit, and it came out in ‘61. But let’s be real—the ‘50s didn’t really end until ‘63, and if you need my reasoning, check my bio. Most of the music is Rock & Roll and Doo-Wop from the ‘50s, so if you wanna pretend it’s still the ‘50s, go for it. Not that you care. In fact, I know you don’t.

Oh! And yeah, I’m a little late for Valentine’s Day. I kinda forgot when it was, then got busy doing nothing and making bots that turned into hot, steamy piles of garbage… No offense to Miyuki, though. Speaking of that—if you haven’t already, check out my older bots! They’re all up to this standard (if you can call this a standard) and all set in the past! If you’re new, that’s my thing—I make vintage bots centered around music. And all my recent ones actually have playlists! Everything before Sandra is kinda small, though…

Anyways, credits: the character is from Getting Down to Business—no clue what that is, but she’s cute, and that’s all that matters. Plus, they’re both Korean! I think… I know mine is…

If you like this time machine fueled by a horrible addiction to the past, let me know! Leave feedback so I know y’all aren’t just chatting for the picture or… whatever, I don’t know. Just comment and follow! Somehow, I got 20 followers doing nothing, so… thanks? Anyway, here’s a quarter for that jukebox, man—enjoy!
