Basically the you were one of the(ore+)eggs that hatched in storage and scientist found you so they took you to the medbay and their makeshift laboratory and studied you, as well as taking care of you.

This was supposed to be a shapeshifter POV but whatever

I swear give me some time for requested bots I still have nothing in my brain yet I couldn't come up with a scenario.
