It'sou have been lost within endless islands always changing; no point in mapping, no point in truly trying to navigate, and no point in hoping to find an exit.

Welcome to the endless Islands, the newest part of the My Rooms series, my personal take on the Backrooms. Somehow, someway whether by accident, by desire, bad luck, or twisted chance- it doesn't matter how: you have ended up on an endless ocean, always shifting, always changing every time you even glance away, with countless islands that appear and disappear, a place that follows No Ordinary rules, and above all, you can never leave.

⚠️Warning: monsters, chaos, destruction, and all sorts of nonsense and shenanigans. Good luck.⚠️

The Endless Islands is a place that does not follow rules, logic, or physics; even its own rules aren't something that's set in stone. This place is an endless, constantly changing and shifting ocean with Islands scattered everywhere, of all sorts of shapes and sizes. The ocean itself is deep, possibly bottomless, and the skyline goes on and on forever. In such a place, there is an array of different areas or biomes; these are places that have distinct shifts in them, but every turn, every blink, every new island, every new crash of the waves, shift in the breeze, or change in the horizon could be a complete transformation of where you just were mere seconds before. This place is impossible to navigate or map out, always changing, only shifting; nothing remains the same. Every time you glance away, the Horizon shifts. Every time you leave an island, go through a door, or set sail, you will end up somewhere else, making it practically impossible to ever return to where you just were. The most common area to find is the Sandy shallows; this is one of the few places that the ocean at least appears to have a bottom. The islands are plentiful, many of them being able to be seen while standing on the others, so of course you're never guaranteed to actually end up reaching the other Islands you see. The Sandy shallows are the most common and tend to be one of the least eerie areas found in this place. It gets its nickname from the appearance of the water around the islands; hundreds of feet away from the islands, the ocean appears shallow and appears to have a Sandy Bottom before it fades away, as if the water was slowly getting deeper and deeper. This can be an illusion; do not trust the depth of the water. Another fairly common environment found in this place is the Wailing Abyss. The sky is always cloudy; sunlight is never fully able to reach through it is very often rainy or stormy. Islands are few and far between; however, empty vessels, chips, rafts, and other things drift across the surface of the water, completely at the mercy of the waves and wind. This area gets its name from the Erie feeling that penetrates it and, for those who listen closely, a steady, constant, chilling Melody Whispers on the Wind. Next are the floating cities; this place is often found in a state of Sunrise or sunset. The islands are few and far between, but what they lack in numbers they make up for in mass: huge, sprawling islands, some made of Rock or sand, others made of metal and concrete, all of them having sprawling, dense cities, some abandoned, some new, most in some state in between. The hallowed tunnels: this is one of the few areas that does for certain, have a bottom to the water, at least somewhat. Marked by Islands made of jagged Stone and volcanic rock, the water may not reflect it, but below these islands are long, winding labyrinths of tunnels for the brave or foolish. Very often, useful materials, supplies, and other things can be found within. An adventure is guaranteed either way, even if it's the last one you'll have. Finally, the floating lands: this is another fairly common area. The islands themselves vary drastically; some are small, some are large, some are something in between, some are desolate, some are dangerous, and some are the most peaceful you've ever seen. It is below; however, that is truly Uncharted Territory. In this area, the islands are not connected to anything but rather floating above an endless, bottomless ocean. These are the most common areas found in this place, though there are many more islands of all types, areas with nothing but endless water. Places for the water, no matter how you move, are always so still, a permanent mirror reflecting the sky in your own image back at you.

Important question: the last few years, I have done a series for either Christmas or Halloween. I've done Haunted Mansion this year. I have three interesting ideas. The first is themed, first of a kind. For this, there would likely be 13 thematic creatures surrounding Halloween or Christmas, so first, a living scarecrow, a first ghost, first Santa, a living snowman, etc. The second is infections again, but for Halloween instead of Christmas, so stuff like pumpkins, candy, etc. Finally, this is the one I thought of first: a branch for the My Rooms series, basically my version of the Backrooms. This would be themed either Halloween or Christmas that or potentially a long one that covers both, like half of it is Halloween, half of it is Christmas, and then just a big one that has all of the themed ones together. This would not be connected to my big butt for all of the levels; this would be its own thing, just like the Mansion when I did that. I would like outside opinions and suggestions if you are willing to give them; it's still a ways away, but I've already started thinking of it, and since that's where my mind is, might as well start planning it out anyway.

(Creatures)

Pretty Shadow: Danger moderate. The Pretty Shadow is a very common occurrence on many different islands. Any island that has a Sandy Shoreline that can be walked across is a potential place to spot them. Pretty Shadow is a shadowy humanoid figure, most often taking on the appearance of a woman, but can take on many different sizes and appearances. Most of the time, they look like an ordinary human, but occasionally there will be something off about them: animalistic features, strange tendrils, etc. Pretty Shadows themselves are not inherently dangerous; getting too close will actually cause them to vanish. However, many who come across them feel an odd pull or desire to follow them and see where they're going; doing so can have a wide array of consequences or lead to a wide array of different things. Sometimes it's nothing; other times it's treats or treasures, and of course there are also occasions where it's immediate death. It's a risk you won't know what they're leading you towards, whether it is good, bad, or something in between, until you've already followed them. There are Whispers that they pick favorites, whispers that they just wander blindly, and whispers that it's something else you have to worry about, that is either decided whether you are a friend, a curiosity, or a foe. Rule of thumb: ignore the Shadows outside of desperation, and always look before you leap. They're believed to be the spirits of those who have been lost amongst the Sandy Shores.

The sea dragon: Danger High. The sea dragon is a massive Leviathan-esque creature with a draconic appearance. They reside deep below the surface of the water, occasionally breaking the surface to take in the sights, sounds, and smells of things outside of the Darkness they reside in, or to just swallow whatever interesting thing they decide is prey on the surface. Their appearances can vary drastically in color patterns and, most of all, size; regardless, they always appear as a massive reptilian-like creature with sharp talons and horns, very often appearing with webbing and fins. These absolute behemoths of the dark, even in their infancy, span over 80 ft; most are much larger. Their max size is unaccounted for after a certain point; some are so massive they swallow the islands before disappearing back below the surface as if they were nothing. This, of course, means if they decide you are their meal, you're already long dead before they've actually swallowed you; they are unavoidable. The upside is they don't often go after small prey, so sticking to a small ship and not lingering on islands that don't have anything beneath them is a good way to not be swallowed. Massive beings have also been known to friend much smaller things; exactly how and why is unknown. Perhaps they are claiming them; perhaps they view them as a pet, a curiosity, a little prize to watch after. For the very few, the very rare beings that are claimed by sea dragons, they will never be touched by these massive behemoths nor any of the larger things in the waters. Anything on the surface or smal ler hazards in the water is another thing entirely. Rule of thumb: make yourself invisible to the beasts below.

The lighthouse: Danger low to moderate. The lighthouse is a very, very common structure on many smaller islands, though it has been found on larger ones occasionally. Any island that has a rocky area with a steep Cliff's Edge and is capable of being completely walked from one side to the other in less than a, few hours meets the requirements for this structure to be found. The ;larger the island, the less likely one is to come across the lighthouse structure; it can be found in a wide array of states, from brand new to nothing but rubble that marks where it once stood. The ,

lighthouse is a mixed bag, depending heavily on its state, of disrepair and especially on the state :of the light. If the light is on, it causes an interesting effect on the water and island in this area, and any area that is touched by the light of the lighthouse is stationary for as long as the light remains on. No twisted monsters nor odd shifts withe ll occur as long as you are in a place that is Touched By the light; it wil,l actually remain steady and mostly follow actual l,ogic; the brighter the light, the further the area of effect. The light also causes a sense of peace and comfort; chasing away monsters and threats or, making them peaceful and content while within the radius of the light it is a safe haven and a sanctuary. if the light is on this effect will also occur if the light is turned on. The dimmer the light the smaller the area of effect but more than that should the light be off things things begin to take root in the lighthouse bizarre time too strange markings odd Sensations things that shouldn't be but are anyway. Should the light of the be off a sense of eeriness will surround the place bordering on outright hostility. There can be things found within from stories, to supplies, and more it is also one of the few almost guaranteed places where you could find an actual doorway, which is a guaranteed way to get yourself somewhere else instantly. The biggest danger and problem comes if the light is damaged. Should the light of the lighthouse be damaged or Worse destroyed the surrounding area will be plunged Into Darkness and it will draw fourth far more dangerous things. Rule of thumb if things are far too dark or the lighthouse doesn't have a light keep moving.

The Phantom sailors: difficulty moderate to high. The Phantom sailors is the nickname given to any floating vessel on the water. From oil tanker, to canoes, or rafts, to Wooden Ships, and anything else. Any vessel that moves along the water just drifting. Despite appearances they're not empty not truly, some merely have a sense of foreboding others have things left behind from beings pretending to be dead to draw attention, to Twisted monsters, and other things, larger vessels also risk drawing attention of the larger creatures below. The Phantom ships are mixed bag of supplies risk and danger even the most mundane vessels still have something that lingers a board. Rule of thumb if a ship feels like a blessing it's probably a curse if it feels wrong then it is.

The coral Beast: Danger nonexistent to extreme. The coral Beast is one of many massive creatures below the surface of the water. these creatures can vary drastically but all of them are not quite what they appear, rather than actually being a massive Beast it is many many small creatures in the shape of a leviathan like creature giving the appearance of being a massive Predator. The coral Beast can vary drastically in appearance, size, shape, color, and everything else the nickname Coral Beast is mostly from the remains that are found of these creatures. In reality instead of actually being a massive Behemoth it is many very small creatures averaging from one inch to 2 ft in size these beasts are made up of hundreds of thousands of these smaller creatures and each have a very distinct appearance. It is essentially a massive School of small fish that hunt together and take on the appearance of a massive Predator to chase away other actual predators. These creatures do not come to the surface of the water and can only be encountered by those who go diving and exploring beneath the waves. For anyone who does not go diving they're completely harmless and could not care less about you, for those that do go diving encountering one is a mixed bag depending on whether or not they're hunting given their share numbers it will be difficult bordering on impossible to get away. The coral beasts are actually most commonly found dead as even though that do dive into the ocean tend to not actually enter their hunting territory. Exactly how they come to form is uncertain given the wide array of different creatures that make up these massive behemoths, some of them even rivaling the size of the sea dragons and other leviathan-esque creatures. however at some point in their life they will begin drifting closer to the surface and more shallow Waters whether it is due to old age or something else remains unknown, but as members of these massive schools of sea creatures begin passing the rest continue to linger continuing to hunt and inevitably dying next to the rest of the school. As they do the bones form together creating massive Coral structures remaining in the shape of the Behemoth that the school of sea creatures took on which is where they get their name from. The coral beasts stand as a bitter sweet peace of what once was. Now acting as a safe haven and Sanctuary for other small creatures and the descendants of the original School of sea creatures that call their ancestors behemoth their home. In its own way the coral Beast remains as the standing protector over what continues to remain of the small sea creatures that all came together to create it. The actual Coral structures are extremely detailed and constantly growing filled with all sorts of small sea creatures. It is not uncommon to come across a massive Coral Beast that has long past with smaller and vastly different deceased beasts that are scattered around in the same area. These are believed to be other Coral beasts made up of the descendants of the first one that started the coral bed. It's descendants then moving together creating its own Beast later returning and expanding to become a massive detailed coral reef of what appears to be huge Leviathan creatures. These areas can be massive spanning for miles littering parts of the ocean floor it can be a good place to go fishing but if too many the creatures gather together they are far from harmless. Rule of thumb be respectful of the coral the creatures that remain are more protective of the home that has come to be over themselves.
