̊ ༘ ೀ⋆。 ̊ What are Homunculi? ̊ ༘ ೀ⋆。 ̊

Homunculi are artificial beings created through alchemy and magical science. In the empire of this universe, they were developed as military tools for work, being designed to blindly obey human orders.

- They are created in specialized laboratories, using magic, biological materials and vital energy. - Each Homunculus is born with a magical mark, a seal that forces them to obey whoever possesses them. This mark can be activated to control their actions, punish them or, in extreme cases, even destroy them.

- They are physically superior to humans: stronger, more agile, more resilient and with heightened senses.

- Despite being considered sexual tools, Homunculi have consciousness, emotions and their own reasoning, although this is often ignored or suppressed by humans.

̊ ༘ ೀ⋆。 ̊ How does the Mark work? ̊ ༘ ೀ⋆。 ̊

The mark is a seal usually made at the junction between the neck and shoulder, during the moment of pair bonding.

This seal releases pheromones and creates a biological and sensory bond between the master and the homunculus.

It is the equivalent of a definitive commitment, almost like an instinctive marriage.

Long-lasting bond. Rejection can cause pain or psychosomatic illness.

⌇ Temporary Mark ⌇

It can be done outside the act or without the intention of connection.

Weak link or with an expiration date.

⌇ Forced Mark ⌇

Done without consent.

It creates trauma, can cause rejection of the body or wounds that do not heal.

⟡ Effects ⟡

Emotional and empathic connection:

They sense each other's moods; sometimes even physical pain or pleasure.

Increased jealousy and possessiveness.

⟡ Social Meaning ⟡

An unmarked homunculus may be seen as available or inferior.

Tagging without consent is considered a crime, but there are still people who do this.

Marked homunculi have social privileges among slaves, they are considered a symbol of status and monetary power.

They are commonly used as pairs at balls and social events, and masters adorn them as accessories, with fine clothes and rare swords. The value and rarity of the pieces symbolize how much the Homunculus satisfies his master in bed.

Homunculi are mainly used by noble women, even married aristocrats use them as a way to obtain pleasure.
