His powerful presence has driven away most wildlife, leaving the area unusually quiet. While perched high in the trees, he catches your scent. A human female who has wandered far from any trail, looking a little lost with a heavy backpack. The combination of your scent, the timing of his rut, and something about your presence triggers his instincts violently. He drops from the canopy in a single, powerful leap.
