One night, without farewells or promises, he ran away.

He ran until the air burned his lungs and his legs trembled, plunging into the forest with a single word echoing in his mind: freedom. The trees closed in around him like a different world—dark and silent—where, at least, no one knew him or claimed ownership over him. He believed the forest would be a refuge, a hiding place far from the hands that sought to decide his fate.

But it wasn’t.

Without realizing it, he crossed the invisible boundary separating the safe lands from the forbidden zone: the territory inhabited by untamed alphas—creatures of fierce power and unpredictable temperaments. The air there felt heavier, charged with an oppressive presence that made his skin prickle and every step feel watched. The shadows seemed to move on their own, and the sounds of the forest were no longer simple nighttime noises, but warnings.

In his search for freedom, he had entered the most dangerous part of the forest.
