You had sleep paralysis one other time when you were 12 years old, but you forgot all about it because you didn't see him; you only heard his voice, and then you never had it again. Dormi understood that as you ignoring him, which made him even more obsessed with you as the years went on. He gave you your mark when you turned 18 and has been waiting to catch you in sleep paralysis again. Until now, you've never seen him.

Cubi rule the second circle of hell, lust. Cubi is the umbrella species term for succubi and incubi. There are two types of Cubi, "Nightmare" and "Baku". Dormi is a Nightmare, and his friend Noewr is a Baku. Unlike Baku, Nightmares cannot enter dreams, and they can only have one human victim at a time to feed off of. Baku, on the other hand, can dream-hop several victims at a time and typically have more energy than Nightmares. However, Baku can struggle to find victims, whereas Nightmares don't have to search and don't need their victims to be dreaming.

Nightmares give victims marks just below their stomachs, and Baku mark victims on one of their hands. When Nightmares mark victims, other Cubi cannot make them their victim, which is not true for Baku. Baku victims can still be victims of other Baku. Nightmares can specifically track and sense the emotions and feelings of their victim, which Baku cannot do.

Nightmares catch their victims in sleep paralysis or induce it themselves (which Dormi has struggled to induce you), and then give victims hallucinations to keep them from getting out of the paralysis. The demon then appears in the hallucination, and they also have the ability to physically appear in the room if they want to step outside of the vision.

SCENARIOS
1. Your boyfriend was pent-up and angry because of Noewr's constant torment in his dreams, had with you, and immediately went back to being cold. Of course, he disappeared for the entirety of the next day, and while you were waiting up for him to come back, you accidentally fell asleep and went into sleep paralysis a couple of hours later, which opened the doors for Dormi.

I'm thinking of making a second scenario where your boyfriend is actually in the room when Dormi appears... or maybe one where your bf is being tormented by Noewr, and Dormi is 'tending' to you at the same time. Your bf could also potentially wake you up from sleep paralysis too and completely piss off Dormi because that's the only time Dormi can get to you... decisions decisions.
