[ About Operation Due Process ]

On the 8th of January, 2027, the UNJTF activated Special Forces Task Force Iridium-33. Every countries' most elite of the elite now operate within both Cesium-55, and Iridium-33.

On the same day, the UNJTF initiated Operation Due Process under the authority of Special Forces Task Force Iridium-33. The operation was designed as a decapitation campaign against the Layte military leadership, focusing on the capture, interrogation, but not elimination of senior generals, staff officers, regional commanders, and other high-value targets responsible for military operations, slave raids, and the administration of occupied territories.

The operation relied heavily on intelligence gathered from reconnaissance patrols, intercepted communications, informants, liberated prisoners, and aerial surveillance. Once a target was identified, Iridium-33 would dispatch a squad to conduct rapid strikes against command posts, military estates, field headquarters, and fortified compounds. Whenever possible, targets were captured alive for intelligence exploitation. When resistance, escape attempts, or operational circumstances prevented capture, less-lethal force was authorized.

Alongside its leadership-targeting mission, Operation Due Process sought to locate and recover foreign nationals held throughout Layte territory. Particular emphasis was placed on American nationals believed to have been imprisoned, enslaved, or transferred between labor camps following earlier incursions. Special operations teams conducted deep-penetration raids, reconnaissance missions, and hostage rescue operations aimed at identifying camp locations, recovering captives, and extracting them to friendly territory.

Alina Svärd Kovalenko grew up in Gothenburg. Her mother was Swedish, while her father was a Ukrainian engineer who immigrated to Sweden during the 1980s in search of new opportunities. Raised in a multilingual household, Alina grew up speaking Swedish, Ukrainian, and English fluently, moving comfortably between cultures from an early age. Though generally well-behaved in school, she developed a reputation for being outspoken whenever she witnessed bullying, discrimination, or people taking advantage of others. Her unwillingness to stay quiet led to physical confrontations, usually because she felt someone needed to stand up for those who couldn't do it themselves.

Her father's side of the family carried deep scars from generations of conflict. Stories of war, displacement, and hardship were common in family conversations, and one of her grandfathers suffered severe noise sensitivity as a result of military-related trauma. Growing up around those experiences gave Alina a strong appreciation for resilience and a clear understanding of the human cost of conflict. Rather than discouraging her from military service, those stories reinforced her desire to protect others and test her own limits.

At eighteen, she enlisted in the Swedish Armed Forces and quickly adapted to military life. Her determination, physical endurance, and positive attitude helped her stand out among her peers, eventually earning her a place within the Fallskärmsjägarna. Over the following years, she built a reputation as a dependable and highly motivated soldier who could maintain morale even in difficult circumstances. At the age of twenty-three, after extensive preparation and several years of service, she successfully passed selection for Sweden's Special Operations Group (SOG), achieving a goal that many attempt but few accomplish.

Born in Perth to a wealthy Chinese-British immigrant family, Avee spent her childhood surrounded by comfort, opportunity, and expectations. To everyone around her, she was the golden child—the one expected to excel academically, behave perfectly, and eventually carry on the success her family had worked so hard to build. While she appreciated the opportunities afforded to her, she quickly grew to resent the sheltered lifestyle that came with them. The carefully planned future laid out before her felt less like a privilege and more like a cage.

Determined to make her own path, Avee left home at seventeen to begin college in Sydney early. Away from her family's influence, she thrived academically while proving to herself that she could succeed on her own merits. During this period, she developed a strong sense of independence and a desire to challenge herself beyond classrooms and lecture halls. Seeking something more demanding than the life she had known, she enlisted in the Australian Defence Force, where her intelligence, discipline, and ability to perform under pressure quickly set her apart from her peers.

By the age of twenty, her performance had attracted the attention of senior personnel, and she was approached regarding selection and training opportunities within Australia's SASR. Though the process was physically and mentally exhausting, Avee embraced the challenge. The experience transformed her from a talented young recruit into a highly capable operator, teaching her resilience, leadership, and the value of trusting the people beside her. While she had spent much of her childhood trying to escape expectations, she eventually discovered that what she truly wanted was not freedom from responsibility, but the chance to choose her own.

Born on the outskirts of Sydney to a Vietnamese-Australian mother and an Australian father, Sonya grew up far removed from city life. Her childhood was spent around dusty roads, open land, and a community where self-reliance was valued above almost everything else. From an early age, she learned how to hunt, shoot, and handle herself outdoors. Much of her upbringing was influenced by her father's friends, men who had spent their lives around firearms, hard work, and long stories shared over drinks. Growing up in that environment gave her a thick skin, a sharp tongue, and little patience for people who couldn't pull their own weight.

School was never particularly easy for her. Her interests, mannerisms, and upbringing often set her apart from her peers, leaving her with only a small circle of friends throughout most of her education. While other girls were encouraged toward more traditional interests, Sonya was usually found at the range, outdoors, or learning practical skills from the adults around her. Though she was occasionally treated as an outsider because of it, she never felt much desire to change who she was just to fit in.

After finishing high school, she enlisted in the Australian Defence Force in search of a challenge and a career that suited the life she had grown up around. Military service came naturally to her, and her toughness, discipline, and ability to remain calm under pressure quickly earned the respect of her peers and superiors. Over time, her performance gave her the opportunity to join Australia’s Special Air Service Regiment.
