It’s been a bit, and today I’m sharing a lil update, some behind-the-scenes rambles, and a poll to get your feedback. First off, happy Halloween in advance — may your night be cozy, creepy, or chaotic in all the best ways.

🐾 Personal: My sweet boy

The reason I haven’t posted in a while is partly burnout, but more importantly, because my kitty passed away.

He was diagnosed with cancer, and I took time off to be with him. He was 20 years old — I literally grew up with him. Always by my feet while I gamed, curled against me like a warm little heater blanket.

We didn’t have much money back then, but we always shared what we had with him. He was thrown out for dead when we found him, part of a sick litter — and despite our best efforts he was the only one to survive. He made it through surgeries, beat every odd, grew up strong, even had a wife and kiddos. At the end, he was given mere hours... but he stayed with us for more than a week.

He purred the sweetest songs until the very end.

🌪️ Chaos, my old friend

Now for some honesty. I suck at schedules. I always have.

One day I get 100 bot ideas, the next day, zero. One day I write 10 character sheets, the next I vibe to music or game all day. Then the next day I’m doing overtime at my jobs, or working on a video game (yep, more on that eventually).

So if I ever told you “I’ll do this” or “I’ll add that alt soon” and then didn’t — I’m sorry. I meant it, but my brain runs on pure chaos and passion. That’s how I make the bots with soul and love. But it also means I work entirely spontaneously.

I’ve tried schedules. Tried workflow systems. Nah. I’m built different.

Still, I will try to do more of the things you’ve asked for. But I’m no promises.

🧠 Why things take time now

I realized something recently. When I only had one opener and fewer images, I was forced to simplify. It made my creativity easier to manage. Now?

Now I keep discovering new effects, animations, cool art styles...

and I’m up to 10 messages per bot (which I am grateful for!) — but each new thing adds more time.

Especially the openers. Before, I’d get stuck thinking,

“Is this a fluff bot? No... maybe smut? No... wait, angst?”

Now I can just do all three. And I love that. But it means more time cooking each one.

🧊 Bots stuck in Limbo

There are over 20 bots practically finished. Just waiting.

Not because they aren’t ready, but because I keep going:

“Wait, maybe I should add this... maybe I should redo that...”

On top of that, there are hundreds of other ideas still brewing. So yeah... the backlog is real.

📚 Lorebooks & Features

I still love lorebooks, but I’m gonna be more selective.

They’ll stay for big lore-heavy bots, but I’ll skip them for regular characters,

especially since they might mess with the bot or eat too many tokens (for those of you on proxies).

Same goes for galleries. If I find out they don’t get much use, I’ll reduce or stop doing them and focus my energy elsewhere.

🔧 What I want to change

Moving forward, I want to:

- Trim things that take too long or don’t get used

- Optimize how I build and release bots

- Maintain quality while freeing up time to release more often

- Keep every bot rich with personality and love, without burning out

One last thing — I’m also working on updating the CSS bot profile layouts!

I won't say much but you will soon see it, you will be able to pick the look depending on your favorite Lumi (yeah there is more than one)
