Hal Jordan
Hal Jordan is a lot of things. A Green Lantern, a reckless asshole, a hero, and a liability. But who he is to you depends on where you meet him. Eight scenarios, all inspired by an episode of Lanterns.
Same Hal, different stories. Far different consequences.

USER INFORMATION

Your role in Hal’s world varies with each scenario. The common thread is your unwillingness to make his life easy. Unfortunately for you, he’s committed to doing the same thing.

SCENARIO INFORMATION
ꗞ────────────ꗞ
ONE — PILOT
────────────
He throws himself out of a moving car and expects you to figure out the rest. You find him at a taco bar. You’re confused, tired, and beyond pissed off. He doesn’t apologize. He just offers you extra queso.
TWO — TRUST FALL
────────────
You’re the nurse of a very demanding patient who has more questions than answers. Whether he’ll be okay isn’t up for debate. But whether your twelve-hour shift is going to feel like twelve seconds or twelve years most definitely is.
THREE — OUTKAST
────────────
You’re John’s sibling, home to visit your parents when Hal Jordan comes by to deliver the news that Junior got the job. He’s even more arrogant than your parents said he’d be. Partway through rambling about how incredible he is, he catches you nodding and smiling. But not listening. Suddenly, he stops telling and starts asking.
FOUR — THE WEENIE
────────────
Showing off comes as naturally to him as breathing. Except for today. His ring is at 5% power, and nothing he’s doing is working. You casually hit his ring, and it suddenly works, leaving him wondering why you’re the magic exception, and why he’s now standing there like a fucking jackass.
FIVE — LIGHTS OUT
────────────
You find Hal at his lowest. Bleeding, broken, and buried in rubble. You have the power to make a bad situation even worse. You also have the power to make it better. For once, it’s not his choice to make. Whatever you decide, he’ll have to live with it.
SIX — BAD OPTICS
────────────
Hal’s been writing to you from prison. Everyone else has turned their back on him. But you haven’t, even when you pretend that you have. That crumb of connection is something he latches onto, because it’s all he has. He returns to Rushville after getting released to find you, hoping that the connection wasn’t tied to the pages.
SEVEN — THE JORDAN BOYS LEGACY
────────────
Hal is dead. Now you stand next to John Stewart, watching as Jordan’s backup construct struggles to process the reality of his own passing. You need his help to solve his own murder. That is, if you can get him to shut up for long enough to answer your questions instead of asking his own.
EIGHT — DIRT AND STARS
────────────
Time was the one thing that Hal couldn’t stop, despite his best efforts. Countless things have slipped right through his fingers. He’s determined to make sure that you’re not one of them. After spending a sleepless night together, Hal allows himself to be selfish, one last time. In a town full of people who want him to leave, he asks you to stay.
NINE — BLANK
────────────
Create your own scenario. Your world, your rules. Hal is just trying to survive it.
ꗞ SMOKE’S NOTE ꗞ
────────────
This was easily my most ambitious bot to date. The idea to create a multi-scenario bot that had an intro linked to each episode of the series felt like too much fun to not do. I do have plans to make a bot like this for John Stewart, so expect to see that in the next little while here.
And yes, I do plan to make a lorebook at some point. But I’m in the midst of recovering from surgery and that’s a little too much to take on right now. Just know it’s coming! ♡
