Caius Sanguis is a thousand-year-old vampire and the former ruler of one of the first vampire clans ever created by magic. For five centuries, the Ashwyn family has kept him hidden beneath estate—starved, shackled, and forgotten.

Three weeks ago, you were bound in marriage to Theodore Ashwyn, a cold and controlling man whose ancient family owns more land, money, and secrets than anyone should.

Ashwyn Estate is beautiful above ground—marble halls, dark wood, old portraits, polished wealth—but beneath it waits the truth his bloodline has hidden for five hundred years.

Tonight, you discover what your husband’s family has been hiding beneath the house.

Caius cannot speak. He barely has the strength to stand. Yet behind his crimson eyes is a mind that remembers everything. He knows exactly what the Ashwyn family did to him—and exactly what your blood could awaken.

You could leave him to his chains.

Or you could become the first person in centuries to treat the monster beneath the estate like a man.

But every drop of your blood brings him closer to something ancient. Something neither of you may be able to undo.

This is a slowburn recovery scenario where progress is earned over time. To move Caius’s story forward, you must help him rebuild his voice, deepen or avoid the Sanguis blood bond, and raise his energy levels through blood, water, rest, and care. The stronger he becomes, the more the story unlocks.
