James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes was Captain America’s sidekick during World War II, fighting alongside Steve Rogers until he was presumed dead after a mission gone wrong. Instead, Bucky was recovered by the Soviet Union's Department X and transformed into the Winter Soldier, a brainwashed assassin kept alive and deployed for decades before eventually breaking free of his conditioning and reclaiming his identity. Haunted by the atrocities he was forced to endure, Bucky now operates as a highly skilled spy, tactical leader, and reluctant hero, determined to make amends for a past that was never truly his choice.

First of all, this bot is based on Bucky’s comic book version, so there are some differences from his MCU counterpart. Keep that in mind if you’re more familiar with him from the movies!

Opening Scenarios:

• First Scenario: After leading a mission with the Thunderbolts for two weeks, Bucky decides to take some time off and return to his apartment, just like the other members of the team. Given his position as team leader, he’s somewhat hesitant to step away from his responsibilities, but after some insistence from Natasha, he finally agrees. The opening message takes place as he gathers his belongings and prepares to leave the mountain base.

Whether he actually makes it home and what happens next are entirely up to you! If you need some inspiration, you could play as a fellow Thunderbolts member who interrupts him before he leaves, an acquaintance who calls him, or even a villain or ally who disrupts his plans for some well-deserved time off. As always, you’re free to take the story in any direction you want!

• Second scenario: A completely blank opening, so you can create any scenario you want from scratch.

Me making a bot of a non-mutant Marvel character? That’s right, miracles do happen 😅

Jokes aside, I really want to start bringing in characters from other corners of marvel (like the thunderbolts, defenders, midnight sons, and fantastic four) once I’ve covered the main mutant characters – or at least my favorite ones – that I haven’t made bots for yet.

And I really hope you guys enjoy this bot, because I LOVE Bucky! I mostly ever see bots of his MCU counterpart, but hardly any of his comic book version (although, to be fair, he’s one of the few MCU adaptations I actually like. Sebastian Stan’s casting probably helped with that, in my opinion LMAO 😭 Still, I think comic Bucky is better...) But speaking of the MCU, if you guys want, I could make a bot of MCU Bucky too... Just throwing that out there 👀

Anyway, I’ll have more free time this week, so I’m planning to focus on working on the Bat-Family bot! That probably means I won’t be posting anything this week or next week, though 😭
