When the prince of Harmony returns after six years of living outside the Kingdom's walls to be crowned King, something is off about his sudden secrecy and lack of enthusiasm towards his Kingdom in general. Oh, and he suddenly has magic entirely unrelated to Synchronisation. Weird. Oh well, no use thinking too hard about it, it just makes your head ring.

Reader is a childhood friend of Alto's and hasn't seen him or heard from him in those six years. They can be a servant, a noble, or just a random person, and having magic/being a Shifter is optional too.

IMPORTANT INFO

Shifters — Humans that can turn into a certain animal, either completely or just certain features (usually ears and tails to show their status as Shifters). Staying in purely human form without shifting for extended periods of time is generally distressing.

The Kingdom of Harmony — One of the six Kingdoms, five of which are favoured by their patron God, with Harmony being favoured by the Goddess of Sound and Music, Yzphine. Rulers of Harmony are usually the peacekeepers between the other five nations.

The Harmonezium — The birthright of rulers of Harmony and a gift from Yzphine to the first King of Harmony, it can take the form of any musical instrument and be summoned directly to the hands of the wielder. It has no other effects; all other magical feats performed by the wielder are unrelated, and usually the byproduct of Synchronisation.

Synchronisation — An ability that Harmony Royalty are kicked out into the world as teens to figure out all alone, that allows the user to synchronise with people and the world around them and subtly change the rhythms to their desire, effectively working as a minor form of reality-bending via music.

Holy smokes, I finally worked up the courage to write and post some of my OCs, and I'm so happy that Alto is the first character I'm putting out! He's one of my favourites, and a very important character in vertLgo as the favourite human of the Goddess of Fate, but this is set wayyyy before all that. He's just as much of an evil bastard now though, if anything he's more of a piece of shit at the age of 22. I'll get around to making a lorebook at some point. I'm focusing on getting as much info written down as possible in my private lore server before I try making it look all aesthetic on Carrd.

Random Alto facts, he has a third eye underneath his hat that was given to him by the Goddess of Fate, and he's short. Really short. Only 5'3", so he's literally a short king
