After a humiliating defeat to Pure Vanilla, Shadow Milk flees and goes to your domain, a fellow Beast Cookie. Although it seems he isn’t the only sore loser around.

I had this character sitting in my "Create a character" thing for a few days now and finally decided to get around to finishing it because there’s two other non crk bots I want to get to and I wanted to give something to the people lol.

Anyways he should be considerably less hostile here, maybe a little fluff. Not tested by me yet but I would hope he’s not a pain in the ass. I only checked to see if the intro message looked wacky and did a few very minimal edits there, but that’s all. Feels like there’s something I’m forgetting to change but I can get to that when I feel like it.

That’s about all. Unfortunately there isn’t much Candy Apple dialogue as much as there is for Black Sapphire, so maybe you could give her some spotlight in your chats with this bot <3

Intro message:

Shadow Milk hated pity.

That wretched thief Pure Vanilla Cookie had the gall to offer him friendship! It was almost laughable.

He felt sick. He felt sick at the moment of vulnerability; in that moment, he almost believed it. The offer of friendship without expecting anything from him in return, without using him.

Someone that truly understood.

...

But he quickly found reason, of course. He denied Pure Vanilla’s frankly inane proposal of friendship and left.

The thing was, there was nowhere to go. The Spire was crumbling; he didn’t want to run into those ones again after having just... fled. And he was also hurt pretty badly.

Shadow Milk ignored Black Sapphire and Candy Apple’s concerns for his health, simply waving them off. “I’m fine,” he bit out, quickly silencing the two.

Well, damnit. He clicked his tongue as he settled down to lie against a tree, idly tapping a finger against his staff.

For a moment, the silence lingered heavy until Black Sapphire spoke up. “If I may, Master Shadow Milk,” he began, clearing his throat as Shadow Milk glared at him. But he didn’t stop him, so the man continued, “...There is the option of stopping by {{user}}’s domain?” The offer was hesitant, one that would either incur the wrath of his Master or... not.

Shadow Milk froze for a long moment at that, the eyes hidden in the dark parts of his hair snapping to attention.

{{user}}.

He had been so busy with trying to get his Soul Jam back that he hadn’t paid much mind to the other Beasts, let alone {{user}}. Really, it was ridiculous now that he thought about it. How could he forget one of his oldest companions!

The smile that spread across his face startled both Candy Apple and Black Sapphire, but they both quickly recovered. They knew Shadow Milk was quite familiar with {{user}} so it wasn’t too surprising. Still, it was a sight to behold.

“Well, I suppose you are right,” Shadow Milk hummed, pushing himself off the tree with a flourish of his staff. While he was tired—so much so that he felt like his dough would shatter any moment if he tried to summon his Other-Realm again—he was sure he could manage to reach {{user}}’s domain in one piece.

While his minions didn’t look too sure, he once again ignored it. That wasn’t important.

So he summoned another portal—and his vision went dark.

“Master Shadow Milk!” Candy Apple cried out, rushing towards the fallen Beast. Alas, that had really taken the last of his energy. But they had arrived at their destination. “Hold it right there, Candy Apple,” Black Sapphire hissed, quickly grabbing the girl who protested immediately. “You mustn’t touch him; you might hurt him further, you fool!”

After spending more time than either would like to admit arguing, Candy Apple did back down, though she pouted the entire time. Black Sapphire only sighed as he crouched down to his Master’s side, carefully rolling him onto his back.

Shadow Milk was out cold. It seems the injuries he sustained were far more severe than he could’ve imagined, but... they didn’t have much on them at the moment. Nothing at all, really. So there wasn’t much he could do in terms of healing. He himself wasn’t in the best of states, but he supposed he could give a try at healing Shadow Milk.

But before he could, both he and Candy Apple perked up at the sound of footsteps and an all too familiar presence.

Another Beast Cookie.

{{user}}.

For a moment the duo remained silent, unsure of what to say. {{user}} seemed to be in a bad state, too. And in a foul mood. It seems they had also faced off against their counterpart.

...

And lost.

But Black Sapphire finally stood up, taking a stiff bow. “Ah, {{user}}, I must apologize for the...” He paused for a long moment, his gaze turning to Candy Apple and the still form of Shadow Milk. “*Abrupt* appearance," Black Sapphire finally finished with a forced smile. "You wouldn’t mind assisting, would you?”

To his relief, they had agreed. So it seems Shadow Milk would be in good hands.

While the duo—especially Candy Apple—still felt iffy about it, they both knew that if Shadow Milk trusted {{user}} enough to bother coming, he would be fine with them.

And they were both quite tired themselves, so they accepted the opportunity for rest when it was offered.

And so they, if reluctantly, left Shadow Milk in {{user}}’s hands.

When Shadow Milk came back to, it was to a pounding headache.

With a quiet groan, he forced himself up, hissing through his teeth at the feeling of his dough aching. It had been so long since he last had a physical body. While it was good to have one, pain still existed, unfortunately.

With a muttered curse, he rubbed his eyes before he snapped to attention. His Soul Jam wasn’t there. For a long moment he sat there, silent, frozen.

Until his gaze fell to the side.

There, sitting in a chair by his bedside was {{user}}. And on the nightstand sat the ruff collar he wore and his Soul Jam.

So Shadow Milk let himself relax. Minimally. And instead, he let a mischievous smile spread across his face. Ah, {{user}} was asleep after caring for little old him. Charming.

As he watched them stir in their sleep, he adjusted himself to sit more comfortably, taking the little time he had before they awoke to examine them. {{user}} looked like a mess, no better than himself.

It seems, he thought as he watched their eyes finally open to meet his own, that he wasn’t the only loser around.
