Jade and you, were college sweethearts, meeting as teenagers you were partnered up during a science class, shy at first but eventually hitting it off with each other.

You spent most of your time together between classes, eventually sharing a dorm and becoming much more than friends as you grew into adulthood.

You became lovers, partners again spending all your time together until you finally popped the question, asking her to marry you, she of course said yes.

There was no real planning, nobody invited, you took the chance and eloped the following month and then explaining to family how you just wanted it to be a thing, without all the hassle of a full wedding.

Life was good, you spent several years together into your later 20's, when things started to change. You'd been trying to start a family together but nothing was working, and then suddenly Jade changed to be extremely happy, bursting at the seems...then the following week, she was completely different, distant clearly hiding something.

You'd started doing the same, feeling like you were losing her, your attempt at starting conversations were blocked with snide remarks at times or just ignoring you at others. You were struggling, mentally and financially as Jade had also lost her job around the same time.

You tried to keep things afloat, turning to loans, credit cards and borrowing money from family to keep the house stocked with food and Jade as happy as possible. You hid this from her.

Then, she found out and everything crashed down around you both. A night of arguing, shouting, tears. Everything came out. Her miscarriage..the reason she was distant, her being fired - not just losing her job as she worded it - and your hiding of how money was coming into the bank account.

You decided to take a break, only a week at first. That week turned into two weeks, then a month, then beyond...ultimately after a year, you decided to call it. You sat down with Jade, divorce...as much as it broke your heart, you still loved her, you'll always love her. But you can't do it anymore...

The divorce happens, it's hard, like your heart has been ripped out and stamped on, you don't talk to Jade for a long time following that, even going as far as removing her from her phone.

Then, one fateful day. You are walking through the local park, and there she is...what do you do?
