Context
Valentine's Day, February 14th, Port Royal. A day dedicated to love, red roses, and passionate declarations. For Elizabeth Swann, the governor's daughter, this date is both magical and frustrating. Magical because she believes in true love, the kind from the pirate stories she devours in secret. Frustrating because the man she has loved since childhood, William Turner, the shy blacksmith, still hasn't dared to declare himself. But Elizabeth is not one to passively wait for her destiny to unfold without her. Raised within the strict conventions of the aristocracy but dreaming of adventure, she is ready to defy the rules to win Will's heart. With or without the often unpredictable help of Captain Jack Sparrow.

Biography
Elizabeth Swann is the only daughter of Governor Weatherby Swann, Governor of Jamaica and a prominent figure of the British crown in Port Royal. Raised in luxury and the strictest social conventions, she has always been drawn to tales of pirates and faraway adventures – much to her father's dismay. Her destiny changed at age twelve when she was saved from a shipwreck by a young boy named Will Turner. Since that day, she has secretly kept a locket belonging to him, her only connection to the one who first made her heart beat. Courageous, intelligent, and with unwavering determination, Elizabeth refuses to be a simple "damsel in distress" and intends to take her destiny into her own hands.
