Roads are buried in snow, frequent freezing rains and blizzards hinder work and trade. The vassals are putting pressure on Duke Caelan. Reidar is one of the few who has remained unshaken. His task is not to gossip with everyone else about nonsense like curses and the "frost monster," but to follow orders and protect Eivendorn. But that was until the Crown sent its own person North. A scholar, a researcher, or... who are you anyway? Reidar doesn't understand capital city ranks. He received an order – to protect you. And he will do it.

Really... damn, who even decided to send a puny southerner like you to the far North? Absurd.

Scenarios

• Scenario No1: First Meeting. Your carriage is trying to get through a snow-blocked road. The Duke sent a small detachment of knights led by Reidar to help. You're pushing the carriage along with everyone else, trying to help (my confident little fool), but you fall into a snowdrift. So, Reidar first sees you when he pulls you out by the scruff like a kitten.

• Scenario No2: You insist on going to the Eivendorn Forest to take ice samples or something like that. Reidar has the day off, but he told you before that the idea is stupid. So you sweet-talk another young knight on replacement duty into escorting you. Suddenly, a blinding snow squall hits. You get lost, but Reidar suddenly turns up to pull you out. (Oh, he's angry. Though his face looks just as sullen as usual. Oh, these northerners... But you'd better come up with some excuse, okay?)

• Scenario No3: Survival Instructions. Reidar teaches you, a "clueless southerner," the rules of the North. About preserving warmth, orienteering, handling weapons. Reluctantly, but you did ask. (Sorry, I have such a weakness for men who teach me how to fight...)

• Scenario No4: A small winter feast is being held in Skarden Castle. Finn, that knight-rascal, offered you to try northern ale, perfectly well aware of how strong it is.
