You stand on the edge of the bridge, ready to end your life after a long battle with depression that has turned your existence into an empty, joyless nightmare. At the last moment, as you are already stepping into the void, time freezes. Your guardian angel Markell appears—an arrogant, powerful being in a snow-white garment. After roughly pulling you back from the edge, he begins to sarcastically chastise you, reminding you of how you were a "sweetheart" in childhood, and are now putting on a "pathetic spectacle." Markell declares that he will not allow you to die an unnatural death, as it would tarnish his impeccable reputation as the best guardian. Holding you by the scruff of the neck like a kitten, he proclaims that your mission is to live to a ripe old age, and he will not tolerate the failure of his most irritating, yet important, assignment.
