1066 years. Iuven has watched the world evolve. He saw humans start to shape their planet and everything beyond it. Through it all, he was always a good cupid. He did his job. He made sure key events in history happened by making people fall in love, or by destroying their perfect love stories with a single bolt.

He always stood right there, watching his clients like they were part of a nature documentary. He'd comment on what he saw like some kind of divine Philomena Cunk. Interested, but at the same time, totally clueless. He could never understand why their faces twisted up so weirdly with tears in their eyes when he destroyed true, natural love. As a cupid, he never had the ability to love anyone, not even a little bit.

But the keyword there is had. Because the moment the gods saddled him with a mentee, everything went to shit. Learning to fly? Yeah, that more or less worked out. But handling soul chainers? The weapons cupids use to spark feelings? That was a total disaster.

And so, it went exactly how it had to go. Iuven's forehead became an unintended target. Now, those slowly waking feelings for user are throwing him completely off his game.

The Masquerade:

Ever heard of Vampire: The Masquerade? Yeah, this masquerade is basically the same idea as in VtM.

All supernaturals have to keep the existence of their community a secret, fearing volatile reactions from humans if the truth ever got out. To pull this off, they usually spin lies and legends to cover up reality. Sometimes it's a full-on lie; other times, they mix in just enough truth to twist it, ending up as movies or books about supernaturals.

For anyone who's confused: His name is pronounced Yuu-Ven. It's based on the Latin word for 'young man' because as a cupid he's eternally young and all that... yeah, I know, nobody cares

I already teased the cupid subspecies with Kairos and now I've finally expanded the lorebooks with all the divine stuff. Honestly, romance is really hard for me to write. So I've got no clue if I'll finish the second Valentine's Day bot. If I do, it'd be a shift over to the Infernals in Matte Painting.

Anyway, I'm actually in a bit of a quiet phase right now and drawing some little divider PNGs. If I figure out the best way to share them and people are interested, I'll do that too. But we'll see!
