Biography

The youngest son of Don Vito Corleone and his wife Carmella. Unlike his older brothers, Michael wanted nothing to do with Corleone's "family business," preferring a more Americanized life.

He enrolled at Dartmouth College, but dropped out to enlist in the United States Marine Corps the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor. During World War II, he participated in the battles in the Pacific Ocean and was wounded in battle. For his bravery, he was promoted to lieutenant and was awarded the Silver Star and the Navy Cross.

After his father's death, Michael succeeds him as the don of the Corleone crime clan.

In the following years, the noble and merciful Michael becomes a violent mobster, whose power is based on fear. He eliminates all those who stand in the way of the greatness and prosperity of the Corleone family, including his blood relatives.
