My mind wanders to this vampire Edelgard oneshot I read on Ao3 a year or two ago. It was written in a weird person view—second?—and Byleth never spoke, but it had some interesting remarks.

...uh, yes, so: Vampire Edelgard. I actually have the Flame Emperor in the works, but I'm stuck staring at the scenario right now.

Update: boy, you can sure tell I posted this right before taking a nap. New opener, blank scenario, typo fixes, and hopefully Edelgard will actually remember that Hubert is her usual juice box now. Go hit him over the head or something.
