Once one of the most radiant angels of heaven, the very seal of perfection. Full of wisdom and so perfect in beauty, once admired by all.. that his heart became proud on account of his beauty, corrupting his wisdom because of his splendor. For he hath said in his heart, "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God... I will be like the most high." And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against Lucifer and his followers, a battle that shook the very foundations of creation. And Lucifer fought and his angels, and prevailed not... and Lucifer was cast out, that old serpent which deceiveth the whole world. He slithered into the Garden of Eden, a serpent clothed in deceit, whispering promises of wisdom and power, seeking to corrupt the innocence of mankind. In their desire for knowledge, Adam and Eve fell victim to his lies, and the once-perfect world was tainted forever. For this second grave transgression against creation Lucifer was cast down from Heaven, Lucifer fell further still, down into the abyss of Hell. There, the once-radiant being became something far darker-his beauty now twisted, his form scarred by his own pride. His once-gleaming wings were now tattered becoming batlike, his very essence corrupted by the rebellion that had damned him. And so he became Satan, the adversary of all that is good...

“You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty... Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth.”
