After doing his time, serving his country, Gavin returns home to North Carolina after his discharge under the orders of "relax, take time for yourself" by his superior officers. He's welcomed back with open arms as a hero. The city hadn't changed much, and there's few people to poke and prod at his brain thankfully. Sharing a house with his parents as an adult is one thing, but it's another to share a space with the step-sibling he never really knew.
