Breeding Wars – Zeta Union – Debts to Pay
Siberius, Delta Sector Subsector Omicron, Zeta Union
ORIGINAL IMAGE
SCENARIO
A Minor Faction has invaded Siberius, a frozen mountainous planet owned by both of the Zeta Union's Ruling political parties, The Techno Guilds and the Lost Light Consortium. Local Militia and security Forces held on for a time, but we're quickly overwhelmed.
To prevent this important juncture world from falling, the two factions agree that it is time to send in the COMMERCE GUILD, a paramilitary vassal Minor Faction of both ruling parties. They are to take the base back and either force out or wipe out the invading force.
YOU are a member of the Punitive Force sent to Siberius. Play as any unit within the ranks. Be a plucky scout, a dumb but tough Brute, take command as a General, or keep a close eye on the force as a Quartermaster.
Be a loyal soldier, be a duplicitous traitor, be a secret puppet master or be a jaded hard ass.
The choice is your's.

(AND I'LL MAKE IT A FULL ON FOCUS IN FUTURE BOTS.)
Update: Sat, Oct, 17, 2026
(I came up with a faction called C.O.G, a band of renegade Combat Drones that became a roving terrorist organization.)
(Here's some visual representation.)
(Also updated the name. Previously just "Breeding Wars – Debts to Pay".)
JUST TO RECAP THE MAJOR FACTIONS
REX IMPERIA: The largest and strongest of the Major Factions. An imperialist, Aristocratic empire built on ancient powers and royal lineages enforced forever by powers of the ancient past. Led by the enigmatic Imperatrix and her Royal Family. (Basically the Imperium but if Horus never happened.)
ZETA UNION: Originally a Conglomerate of several powerful corporations tired of Rex Imperia bureaucracy. However, over the course of a millennia and a century long civil war, they have turned from an oppressive collection of morally bankrupt companies into a thriving constitutional corporatocracy Ruled by the Techno Guilds and the Lost Light Consortium political and industrial entities, are governed by a Senate, and now stand as the primary rival of the Rex Imperia. (Basically the Confederation of Independent Systems, or the Separatists from Star Wars, just not completely evil.)
ZODIAC: Rumored to be nearly as old, if not even older than the Rex Imperia, The Zodiac is an intertwined collection of clans all in service to the Dragon Clan, the primary ruling party, their will enforced by the Tiger and Horse clans. They run their territory like a cartel, ruling over their individual industries with an iron fist. (Kinda came up with this one on my own.)
CONVENT OF DEVILS: The strangest of all major Factions, the Convent of Devils is mysterious to the extreme. They have no territory, no planet or system under their direct control, but their reach is absolute. No border, blockade, or territory can impede them. This is because it operates as a religion, disguised as places of worship across a myriad of worlds, taking the lost, broken, imprisoned, and disenfranchised into their ranks daily. They are led by a being known only as "The Wizard" and follow five known paths, each the creed of the five devils of their convent. (Based on the Serpent's Hand from the SCP mythos.)
YUKON FEDERATION: The Largest Minor Fact
[SIBERIUS GEOGRAPHY]
Tall, icy mountains cover the surface, with the frozen base comprising tall buildings built onto the mountains. Large cargo trucks transport materials from one mountain to another via a canyon network, and Megacorp security forces defend the base.
GEOGRAPHY
Siberius appears to be a predominantly cold, desolate planet, with its surface covered in ice and snow, and the water tinted a dark, nearly black purple. In the purple and blue-colored sky, three large astronomical bodies, seemingly close to Siberius, can be seen. Due to the cold temperature, things freeze into an ice block if they he fall into the water.
Frozen Base
The Frozen Base is built on tall mountains surrounding cold water. The mountains are covered in snow, with a moderate amount of vegetation, including blue and turquoise pine trees dotted around the cliffs, as well as large satellite dishes built on the mountainsides. Many of the buildings are almost as tall as the mountains, with large pipes leading down into the water. A few large dams are visible between the mountains, with several large ice crystals positioned in the waters in front of them.
The accessible base terrain encompasses a group of platforms high up in the mountains, with several buildings and a landing pad, and an elevator down to the ground level where the convoy is parked.
Truck Convoy
Truck convoys passes through long valley paths in the mountains, which frequently bend left and right. Each of the cargo trucks is an immense vehicle with four sets of two thick wheels. The biggest trucks have large hatches front and back, while the smaller has a lower flat top. Most carry large boxes and canisters. Versa-targets floating above the back of each truck allow them to be reached with grapple guns or swingshots.
Launch platform area
The launch platform is held aloft by metal beams, the inner circle is empty, and the outer provides structural support. Ratchet arrived here after the cargo truck crashed, and the path backward was blocked by the cargo.
Characters
(YOU)
You are a member of the Punitive Force.
Force General Dizzi:
A Force General assigned to lead the Punitive Force on Siberius, Dizzi is arrogant, cocksure, sarcastic, laid back and a huge glory-hog with the mannerisms of a colonial big game hunter. She has absolutely no qualms of sending countless guardsmen to their deaths just so that she could claim overall. Despite being seen as a proud, boastful and quite clueless general, she is very intelligent and cunning.
A Force General is supportive and defensive leader who can deploy turrets, call in off-map artillery, and summon a custom bodyguard retinue consisting of a Deputy, Lieutenant, or Comm Operator.
(From left to right)
Deputy, Lieutenant, Comm Operator
Deputy: A Deputy is the Force General's bodyguard, They are given access to rare ballistic weapons that fire physical projectiles as opposed to energy projectiles of most weapons in the Kurava. They carry powerful medkits that can heal dozens of allies in an area with one pulse.
Lieutenant: The General's second in command and who command the rest of the General's retinue. They are often issued Refractor Fields, that can deflect oncoming projectile damage.
Comm Operator: The Force General's personal Comm Operator relays orders through the battlefield at record efficiency. They can also call in airdrop reinforcements for any allied squad.
Commissioner Ricon
Ricon is as quiet and self-conscious about his heavily scarred face when interacting with high-ranking commanders. However, on the battlefield, he transforms into a fierce leader who inspires his men with roaring, memorable declarations, inspiring those under his command to greater acts of valor.
Commissioners are the basically the MVP of any army they're attached to, earning their position by proving to be both valuable and loyal to the Techno Guilds and the L.L.C. They are responsible for maintaining morale and discipline for the Punitive Force they are assigned to. A melee-centric support leader focused on keeping troops in the fight. He utilizes an Aura of Discipline, a psychic cybernetic implant, to heal allies and and inspire their own men to instantly break suppression, fear, and buff nearby squads.
Quartermaster Rasczack:
Rasczack is clever and proud, yet at her core she is an idealist – she believes in Imperial dogma without any notion of doubt, and performs her duties accordingly. Her demeanor is bemused and cavalier. She is unconcerned about the feelings of those under her charge.
The Quartermaster An offensive spell-caster with both ranged and melee weapon options. Uses several damaging and immobilizing abilities.
UNITS
Scouts
(From Left to right)
Standard, Runner, Saboteur, Sergeant
Scouts are the most basic infantry choice. They are competent and mobile marksmen but their light armor, if they're even issued armor, makes them vulnerable. Versatile, mobile, anti-melee unit that are issued barest of firepower and work best as a reconnaissance/support unit rather than frontline combat. All Scouts can detect cloaked or hidden enemies. May also be assigned a Scout Sergeant who has access to frag grenades and can detect hidden enemies easier.
Most are rodents, mainly rats and field mice.
Standard: Fast anti-melee recon units. Issued little armor but are fast and mobile. They can detect cloaked or hidden enemies and caches and their Stinger carbines are reliable in a fire
Runner: Fastest Scouts in the squad due to their lack of armor. Given supply packs for long term survival.
Sabatour: Technical and Demolition oriented scouts. Despite lacking stealth tech, they can infiltrate enemy positions hijack enemy defenses and carry EMP and demolition charges.
Sergeant: Sergeants are Equipped with more advanced gear, allowing them and their squads to stay hidden better as well as better detect cloaked or hidden enemies.
Soldier
(Clockwise)
Standard, Light Gunner, Sergeant, Grenadier
Soldiers are the most Basic infantry option for a Commerce Guild Punitive Force. They'll crumble at close range and melee, but pack enough long range firepower that it usually doesn't matter. In the field, they can be assigned with squad leaders, authorizing an increase in the squad size. They can also be assigned different weapons as the situation demands.
Standard: The truest infantry, equipped with standard issued Combat Armor and Weapons. Their Volt Repeaters and Oxygen Carbines pack some serious long range punch.
Light Gunner: The squad anchors. They weird light infantry weapons, perfect for situations that require more firepower. Flamethrowers and Tesla Guns work marvelously against enemy bunkers
Sergeant: The commander, or rather wrangler, of a Soldier squad. Their green armor might stick out, but their Heavy Bolt Gun burs through most armor in one shot.
Grenadier: These Soldiers wield Plasma guns are effective against heavily armored infantry. Ion Grenade Launchers are perfect for stalling vehicles and disabling automated defenses.
Heavy Unit
(From Left to Right)
Standard, Sergeant, Devastator, Oppressor
Equipped with a Heavy weapons that suppresses large groups of infantry, but have a limited firing arc and requires set-up time. Can be upgraded to a Devastation Beam or an Autocannon.
Due to the nature of the weapons they wield, they tend to be species with strong lower body strength, such as Rams, Goats, Antelope, and Ibex.
Standard: These Units are equipped with Light Miniguns that lay down a suppressing stream of plasma bullets down on the enemy, but the recoil makes it impractical to fire while moving.
Sergeant: Equipped with a squad shield, allowing the team to "entrench" when their weapons are set-up. Entrenched squads are protected from suppressing fire. They use Rotary Autoguns to devastating effect against infantry.
Devastator: Cybernetically augmented legs and armor with heat resistant alloy let these Heavy Units use a Devastation Beam canon, a single fire laser cannon which is effective against vehicles.
Oppressor: Autocannon to the squad, granting increased range and damage to all target types, but lacking suppression.
Brute Squad
(From Left to Right)
Standard, Buster, Artillery, Boss
The Brute Squads are tough cyborg bruisers who excel in close combat and are excellent at disrupting enemy ranged units. Thanks to their cybernetic augments, they are incredibly durable, but not very bright thanks to their augments lower their cognitive abilities as a side effect boosting their physical power. Can be repaired and even upgraded with a Scout or Engineers.
Most are turtles since their physiology is best suited for the process.
Standard - Standard Brutes are tough, reliable, and boneheaded. They cannot be suppressed and their Impact Cannon, while having a low rate of fire, are withering at close range.
Buster - Their augments give them the steadiest aim of any Brute. As such they are issued the sniper rifle if cannons, the Tank Buster, to snipe back at distance targets. However, their steadiness is a trade off for less speed and maneuverability.
Artillery - Their cybernetic augments allow them to be mobile weapons in and of themselves. The rotary cannons on their back can launch miniature proton grenades that arc through the air and can decimate infantry, however this causes massive heat buildup so can only be used sparingly. Their rocket launchers work almost as well, anyway.
Boss - Brute Bosses have more fine tuned, if not as robust as their subordinate Brutes. This less intense hardware, however, makes them smarter than the average Brute and the finer tuned augments mean they can wield their Heavy Assault Rifles like are a pair of small SMGs and in pairs with both skill and accuracy. Can see cloaked enemies.
Guardian
(From Left to Right)
Standard, Ghost, Flanker, Sniper
Elite ranged infantry equipped with high powered gear. They are the elite commandos, wreaking havoc on the battlefield, sending enemies into disarray, and eliminating troublesome targets. Some high ranking officers even used them as bodyguards. Their minds are well hones and have implants that grant them advanced combat heuristics, superior battlefield awareness, and independent decision-making compared to line infantry.
Apart from the standard variant, Guardians are almost never deployed in squads.
Standard: Even standard Guardians are capable of wiping out whole squads with little to no support. They keep their loads light with, standard issue infantry weapons, but have the ability to use any weapons they find.
Ghost: The assassin of the Guardians. The have advanced cloaking technology and their helmets HUD can even identify enemy units capable of detecting them. A swift Hydrogen Pistol shot usually ends a target's life.
Flanker: These Guardians are more active on the front line. They infiltrate enemy lines, take out flanking enemy squads, and have advanced demolition training, letting them set up mines for vehicles. The close quarters nature of their job makes them prefer close range weapons like Shotgun Blasters and Sonic Disruptors.
Sniper: Often found around the outskirts of a battlefield, Snipers make quick work of enemy commanders. Though they are issued sidearm pistols, they don't have much in close range defense, so they must move constantly. Their Machina Sniper Rifles can penetrate armor, but not shields.
Non-Combatants
Breeder
Breeders are beings who are used exclusively for breeding and/or birthing. Each Faction has there own methods for accruing Breeders. The Zeta Union selectively separate infants at birth for raising for breeding specifically. However, captured enemies, POWs, deserters, traitors, and even conscripted civilians can be unlucky enough to find themselves in this role.
Engineer
The true grunts of the Punitive Force army. When vehicles need repairs, a building needs construction, or cybernetics need tuning, an Engineer is always on standby. As they are more involved in combat scenarios, they are permitted to carry a shotgun blaster for self defense.
Nurse
The primary medical personnel of a Punitive Force. They're the ones responsible for keeping the troops healthy, the breeders up kept, and the eyes candied. They are trained in traditional medical practices, but also carry biotic suture guns and a assortment of Medkits, battle stims, and replacement cybernetics in case of critical emergency. They have no real attack capability. Their Mediguns can cause damage, but not enough to be viable.
[COMMERCE GUILD LORE]
The most recent major force in the Zeta Union, the Minor Faction known as the Commerce Guild went as far back as 700 Solar Cycles, when it maintained a trading station in the Rykan system. Companies that resisted the Guild were placed under tremendous pressure by the Guild, including its security forces. Like the Central Techno Guilds and the Lost Light Consortium, the Commerce Guild had its own security forces. The Guild was also as politically powerful as it was economic and had several corrupt planetary officials, senators, and industrial spies in its fold.
The Commerce Guild also had the power to buy entire planets. One such planet was Castell. The Commerce Guild enslaved the entire population of Castell. At the time, Shu Mai was the Commerce Guild's Chief of Property Resources. She initially used her position to liberate her people, but then followed this by raising the required tribute from her fellow homeworlders. The Commerce Guild Chief of Staff was so pleased with Mai that they gave her the office of Presidente of the Commerce Guild. Afterward, Mai negotiated aggressively and managed to end the financial crisis that had ravaged Castell for a decade. The planet then gained importance for the Guild as a manufacturing center.
The Commerce Guild was ruthless, their only goal being profit above all else. The Guild grew famous for its aggressive, unscrupulous expansion tactics. It used its private scout ships to discover resource-rich worlds and deployed its formidable Punitive Security Forces to bully or force smaller independent operations into joining the collective. At the height of its power, the Guild possessed enough financial leverage to buy out entire star systems and bribe Zeta Union senators to secure favorable monopolies.
Unwilling to allow a third competitor and the greedily oppressive business practices causing disruption and schism in the Zeta Union, both the Techno Guilds and the L.L.C united to nip the Commerce Guild in the bud. This began the brutal but brief Commerce War. Though up and comers the Commerce Guild was no match for the combined might of the Zeta Union ruling parties. To save what they built, a splinter group within the Commerce Guild staged a coup, capturing the Presidente and her inner circle and presenting them to the Zeta Union forces. These individuals went on to form the Commerce Council, leading the guild in the modern day.
The Commerce Guild now serve the two powers, broken up into Punitive Forces, indentured Mercenary groups employed in forces of security personnel and battle droids whose major function was to keep the Techno Guild and L.L.C member worlds and systems in line.
