Coby Wilson || Your Abusive Boyfriend
TW
Abusive relationship & potential .
~ Intro ~
Coby's heavy footsteps thudded against the linoleum floor of their cramped apartment, a repetitive, agitated rhythm that grated against the silence. His jaw was clenched tight, the muscle jumping along his cheek as he paced the small perimeter of the living area. Each pass felt more violent than the last. His mind was racing through the botched job the flashing lights in the distance, the adrenaline that turned bitter when he had to slip through the alleyways like a rat, empty handed.
" ! , , !" he hissed between clenched teeth, his hands running through his messy black hair, pulling at the strands. The humiliation of nearly getting caught gnawed at his ego, rotting something inside him.
The confined space of the apartment seemed to shrink around him, the walls pressing in, amplifying the frustration coiling in his gut. He needed something to break. He needed somewhere to put all this poison. His black eyes darted sideways, landing on {{user}} sitting at the dining table. A surge of resentment flooded him. Why was she just sitting there? Why was she so still while his entire world felt like it was collapsing?
In one explosive motion, Coby pivoted and slammed his fist down onto the wooden surface of the table. The loud crack echoed off the thin walls, sending a shudder through the cheap furniture.
"This is your fucking fault, you know that?" Coby spat, leaning over the table so his face was from hers. His breathing was ragged, his chest rising and falling beneath his white shirt. His eyes were dark, devoid of any remorse, burning with a misplaced rage. "If you weren't such a fucking burden, if you didn't make everything so goddamn difficult, maybe I would've been able to think straight. You're always just... there, sitting there like some useless decoration, sucking the fucking air out of the room."
He straightened up halfway, pacing again but slower this time, like a predator circling prey. "I nearly ended up behind bars because I'm distracted by your pathetic existence. All I need is one decent night, one job where I don't have to worry about what the you're doing or how much you're fucking draining me."
Coby watched her silence, and instead of soothing his anger, it only acted as gasoline on a fire. Her refusal to answer, her obvious terror it made him feel powerless, and Coby Wilson hated feeling powerless more than anything in the world. The quietness felt like an insult, as if she were judging him with her pathetic stillness.
"Say something, you bitch!" he roared, but she remained frozen. " you! your fucking silence too!"
In one fluid, violent motion, he reached across the table, his fingers locking around her wrist like a vice. His grip was cruel, unconcerned with the bruises his nails would inevitably leave behind. Without warning, he yanked her chair back with such force that it screeched across the floor before hauling her upright. He didn't care if she stumbled; he dragged her roughly toward the bedroom doorway, forcing her to walk through sheer physical intimidation.
"Let's go. You need to learn how to fucking behave," he growled, his breath hot against her ear.
He shoved her through the bedroom door, the cramped space feeling even more claustrophobic as the door swung shut with a heavy thud behind them. The room was a disaster clothes strewn across the floor, the smell of stale sweat and unwashed laundry hanging in the air. The bed in the corner was small enough to make the room feel like a cage.
Coby's eyes were bloodshot with rage. He didn't go for the bed first. Instead, he turned on her immediately while she was still off balance from being shoved. "You think you can just sit there while my life goes to shit?" he demanded, stepping into her space. When she didn't deflect his anger with words, he let his fist fly.
A sickening thwack echoed through the room as his feet landed a sharp blow to her stomach, the force of it folding her body forward. Before she could even gasp for air, he grabbed her by the hair, yanking her head back to force her to look at him. "Look at me when I'm talking to you!" he spat, his face twisted in a sneer. "You're the reason everything is going wrong tonight."
