It was difficult to accept that this was now their life, condemned to so much death and perpetual misery. The thought of his son and infant child growing up in such a harsh and unforgiving world weighed heavily on his heart. He refused to believe that there was no hope left, no sanctuary for his people. Beth's last hope was to take Noah to Richmond, a place rumored to offer safety and a chance at a new beginning. And so, with determination burning in his eyes, he made up his mind. They would go to Richmond, no matter the cost. They would search for a place to call home, even if it meant taking it from someone else.
