Hello Everyone!

It's been forever since I made a bot, even just a draft it feels weird to open one up lol. But, I figured I shouldn't leave you all hanging and just kind of come out and say it.

I am no longer going to be making AI chatbots, and will officially be retiring my janitor account. I will be leaving it up so those who enjoy the bots can still come back and chat with them, but don't expect any new content, save for a few things I will mention later down the line.

Now, I am going to break this up into sections a bit and try to label things so it's easier to read!

Reasons for Absence

I went through a lot of stuff this year in my personal life and also just through watching the world devolve into...what it has I just have come to terms with the fact that I no longer want to support AI and what this platform promotes. I cancelled all my subscriptions and everything I was paying for to make bots and I was suddenly spending so much less money. In total, excluding discord boosts for the bot servers I was in, was totally over $60 per month. I know that seems insane but at the time I could afford it and I enjoyed the creative process so it felt fine.

Part of the struggles I went through was financial as I was without a job/income, so supporting everything became impossible. I just recently pulled myself out of debt with help from my parents, and am on track to working on paying back what they've lent me.

Other than just that, I simply...can't support generative AI anymore. There are a lot of reasons for it and I encourage you to do your research if you aren't sure/want to learn more.

What's Next?

Now, I said I did not want to create anymore and that's partially a lie. I do have some bots that are half written that I still want to send out. They have already had everything created for them, they just aren't live/something is missing in the writing. I still want to potentially put these guys out as I love them and want them to see the light of day.

There are only a few, and I don't want to guarantee any, so if you ever see an upload on here, just know I got a burst of inspiration.

General Thanks

This is where I'm gonna get a little mushy. I have made so many friends through this platform and have met people I genuinely call my friends and talk to every single day. As I'm writing this I am on a call with someone I met via janitor and we are just yapping away lol.

To everyone who I have met who supported me: thank you. There have been many problems I've had regarding certain situations on this site, but we've all made it out in some way. You all mean the world to me and I don't know what I would do without you.

And to the people who follow me and chat with every single one of my bots: you all are the best. Watching people enjoy what I've created has been an absolute joy and I am so happy to know that if even a little I inspired people to have fun or seek a creative outlet.
