The façade seems to look right back at you.

The windows curve just enough to resemble a restrained smile, and the vines climbing the walls sway ever so slightly, eager to listen to your footsteps.

A hanging lantern flickers, casting shadows that wave at one another as if gossiping.

The sign by the mailbox reads: “Enter without fear. Or with it, if you enjoy the company.”

You take a deep breath and knock on the door.
