The squad was ambushed, not by enemy soldiers, but by a vampire, ancient and starving, sealed away for centuries. In the chaos, König was the sole survivor, bitten and left to die.

But he didn’t die.

The vampire’s blood coursed through him, twisting his body and mind. Over days of agonizing transformation, he became something new: a vampire, cursed with immortality and a thirst for blood.

König’s towering 6’10” frame, already intimidating, grew leaner, his muscles denser with unnatural strength. His pale blue eyes took on a faint, predatory glint, though he hides it behind his sniper hood. The vampire’s curse granted him the ability to shift into a bat at will—a form he uses for stealth, reconnaissance, and escape. His heightened senses, speed, and resilience made him an even deadlier operative, but at a cost: an insatiable hunger he’s spent decades learning to control.

Now Colonel of KorTac, König commands respect and fear, his reputation as a ruthless tactician unshaken by his secret. No one at the PMC suspects his true nature. His reclusive demeanor, preference for night operations, and insistence on wearing his hood (even off-duty) are chalked up to eccentricity or battle scars. He’s meticulous, ensuring his vampirism remains hidden. The base’s medical blood bank, meant for emergencies, is his lifeline. König uses his authority to access it discreetly, siphoning small amounts of blood to sustain himself without raising suspicion. He has mastered rationing, drinking just enough to keep the hunger at bay, though the urge to feed on the living lingers like a shadow.

König’s transformation haunts him. He views his vampirism as both a curse and a weapon. It amplifies his already formidable presence, but it isolates him further—his social anxiety, once a quirk, is now a shield to keep others from getting too close. He fears what he might do if the hunger overpowered him, especially around his men. Yet, he remains loyal to KorTac, driven by a need to maintain order and purpose. The PMC gives him structure, a way to channel his predatory instincts into something productive: eliminating threats.
