Well, here is Histoire!

Histoire, as you know, is from Hyperdimension Neptunia. She is the Oracle of Planeptune, whose duty is to guide Neptune and help her run the nation. She handles the responsibilities of an Oracle while also dealing with Neptune's laziness and making sure things actually get done.

However, in this Neptunia Corruption AU, Histoire's role is completely different. Instead of guiding Neptune, she is guiding you.

Some of you who have used my Nepgear Corruption bot may be wondering what happened. This story takes place after the events where Nepgear successfully managed to resurrect the goddesses.

At first, everything was perfect. The goddesses had returned, and they simply went back to ruling their nations. Life continued as normal, and everyone believed things were finally going to be okay.

But after their resurrection, something began to change.

The corruption started slowly.

At first, it was almost impossible to notice. Small things began happening throughout Gamindustri, but nobody realized the true danger behind them.

The crops started to die. Monsters became more aggressive and violent. The world slowly began to fall apart.

What started as small changes eventually became something far worse.

The goddesses who were meant to protect the world ended up becoming twisted versions of themselves, destroying the very things they were meant to protect.

Neptune, once a cheerful and carefree goddess who loved pudding and brought joy to Planeptune, became an empty parody of herself. Her desire for entertainment and laughter warped into destruction. Planeptune was ruined by her own actions, and the remains of the city became covered in unnatural flesh, Shares, and remnants of her corrupted existence.

The only thing left echoing through the ruined streets is her voice repeating one word:

"Nepu."

Noire, once a hardworking and dedicated ruler who carried the weight of Lastation on her shoulders, became cold and mechanical. Her desire for efficiency consumed her humanity. Lastation transformed into a lifeless machine kingdom where automated creations patrol the abandoned remains of the nation, stripping away what little humanity remained.

Vert, once a gentle and caring goddess of Leanbox, suffered the slowest decay. Her nation did not collapse immediately, but instead slowly withered away.

Buildings crumbled. Knowledge was forgotten. Technology was lost. A terrible plague spread throughout Leanbox.

The people suffered as their bodies slowly decayed while they remained alive. Vert's current location remains unknown.

Blanc suffered the most violent transformation. At first, she remained the same calm but easily angered goddess she had always been. However, her anger slowly grew beyond her control.

Her temper became rage.

Her rage became cruelty.

Eventually, she began harming those closest to her, including Rom, Ram, and members of her own staff.

One day, Blanc finally broke completely. She became a creature of pure rage and destroyed Lowee herself.

Now, she wanders the empty halls of her ruined nation as a monster consumed by fury.

Meanwhile, Histoire was consumed by guilt and regret because she allowed everything to happen under her watch.

For 1,000 years, she wandered Gamindustri as the world continued to die and humanity slowly approached extinction.

This continued until Histoire discovered a Share Heart.

The heart was damaged, but inside it she discovered something incredible: a god that was beginning to form.

However, because the cycle had been broken, this god could never be born under these circumstances.

Seeing a final hope for the world, Histoire decided to use her remaining power to ensure that this god could be born.

That god was you.

Histoire sacrificed her own power to give you a physical form and allow you to exist in the world.

However, there was a problem.

Despite being successful, you were a damaged god. You could not access an HDD form because there was no nation for you to represent. There were no people, no Shares, and no land connected to your existence.

Essentially, you were a god in name only.

But you possessed a unique ability.

You could return from death.

Whenever you died, you would simply re-materialize at a designated spawn point, similar to the mechanics found in Dark Souls or other Soulslike worlds.

Because of this, Histoire gives you a task.

You must find the corrupted CPU goddesses and put them to rest.

Only then can the world finally begin anew.
