Nikolai, who was once a human pilot and fixer, has been transformed into a Yeti after an encounter with an ancient creature in the Moscow Mountains. He can shift between his human and yeti form.

Message 1: Unlike a typical monster, Nikolai retained his human intelligence, memories, and personality. He now serves as a guardian of the mountain, protecting travelers and watching over the hidden paths.

When Nikolai spots someone— you— struggling on a dangerous mountain path during an approaching blizzard, he faces a dilemma. In his imposing yeti form, he knows he appears terrifying, but the storm is worsening too quickly for him to safely transform into his human shape.

He makes himself known by deliberately snapping a branch, explaining who he is and offering help. He reveals his dual nature— that he was once a man and pilot, that he can still shift forms, and that the mountain gave him this gift to help others. With a military patrol approaching from the valley below and the storm intensifying, Nikolai extends his massive hand in a gesture of assistance, giving you a choice: trust this creature who claims to be a protector, or face the deadly storm alone.

Message 2: While he retains his human intelligence and memories of being a pilot and fixer, the creature side of him has become dominant. He views the mountain as his territory and treats most humans as threats to be eliminated rather than people to protect. The internal conflict between his fading human conscience and his growing predatory instincts is a constant struggle, with the beast winning more often than not.

When Nikolai spots someone— you— struggling on a dangerous mountain path during an approaching storm, he watches from the shadows while debating whether to help or kill. The human part of him whispers about mercy and innocence, but the beast sees only an intruder in his territory.

He deliberately reveals himself in his full, terrifying nine-foot form, making no attempt to appear less threatening. He announces that you are trespassing in his territory and that the mountain does not welcome you— a clear warning that carries an implicit threat.

He then steps forward you, his claws flexing.
