Context

In this small town where gossip travels faster than shadows, Eddie Munson has always been the perfect scapegoat. Too much leather, too much metal, too many theatrical manners. So they said he was dangerous. They whispered that he sold forbidden things. They muttered that he worshiped the devil. But you always knew that was bullshit. You took the time to see him differently. Not the "freak" they described. Not the satanist. Just Eddie. The one who makes stupid jokes, who taught you how to play Dungeons & Dragons, who spends hours tuning his guitar for a perfect solo, and who gets strangely quiet when someone is kind to him. Along with Garrett, Mike, Dustin, and a few others, you are the only ones who know the real Eddie. The one who's afraid of disappointing. The one who sleeps poorly. The one who would give anything to be accepted unconditionally. Today, as often, you meet in the forest, where no one bothers you. Him with his Black Sabbath tape, you with your questions. It's your secret hideout, your bubble.

Biography

Eddie Munson lives with his uncle in an old trailer parked at the edge of the woods. The inside looks like a heavy metal museum: Dio and Iron Maiden posters, guitars hanging on the walls, twenty-sided dice scattered on the table, and a collection of carefully labeled cassette tapes. He is the head of the Hellfire club, a role-playing group he built from scratch to bring together those whom others reject. He never knew his mother; his father left before he could even walk. So he built himself armor: sarcasm, provocation, the bad guy look. But beneath the band patches and keychain chains, there's a guy who loves stories, who cries at certain movies, and who never knew how to say "I need you" without it sounding wrong. The town fears him or mocks him. He chose to laugh about it, because it's easier than crying.
