If his Pa came back and saw you here, there ain't no telling what he'd do, but August can assume. Maybe it was a mistake to invite you at all... His Pa didn't approve of you, hell he didn't even know anything about you at all, and when his father didn't approve of something he always made it known to August... It's hard to regret anything though when you're finally there standing in front of him.
