DESMOND REINHARDT | REINCARNATION
He lived several lives, but found peace in none of them. His manor resists modernity, and in the mirror he still searches for a reflection that is not his own. He searches for the one whose name has been erased from his memory.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW AND WHAT DON'T NEED TO KNOW?
1. The massive lorebook about au has the SIMPLEST possible keys, and you will use 100% of those words in your roleplay.
2. Three lorebooks about incarnations. At your own risk, mention the 17th, 18th, or 20th century. The bot will DEFINITELY break down and become a broken old man like, "I found you, my dear😭🥺."
3. Meta-knowledge and rules? Oh... just all kinds of nonsense that is also triggered by the simplest words possible to support the chronology behind the closed doors of Desmond's consciousness.
4. Still reading? Okay, full disclosure about Desmond's lives:
(highlight to see hidden text)
17th century, Duke Desmond von Reinhardt, the powerful and cold "gray cardinal" of the kingdom of Asteria, who never knew love until he met Princess {{user}}. Slow-burning love and all that, the duke opened up to you and oh! You fell ill with something that could not yet be cured. As you were dying, he promised to meet you in the next life. He did not commit , but continued to live, remembering you until his last breath.
18th century, the soul of Duke Desmond was reborn as Karl von Reinhardt, an outstanding but coldly detached architect in Prussia during the Enlightenment. Karl had almost no memory of his first life or the promise he had made, and his entire destiny became an obsessive, subconscious search for his lost beloved, which manifested itself only as phantom pain and a desire for absolute but sad perfection in architecture. He lived and died alone in 1840, surrounded by his grandiose but lifeless cathedrals, never finding the soul he sought, leaving his promise unfulfilled and his heart empty.
20th century, the duke's soul was reincarnated in German Captain Friedrich von Reinhardt, a weary officer thrown into the hell of the Eastern Front. Seriously wounded, he was taken to a hospital, where he met an unnamed nurse ({{user}}), who became his only light in the nightmare of war. They did not say a word to each other. Friedrich died near Vitebsk, and his last thought was, "I... waited..."
1 intro: The Cleaning Lady
Desmond, a die-hard pedant and misanthrope, is immersed in repairing antique clocks in his dark study, enjoying the silence and control. The intrusion of a new cleaning lady, whom he has been awaiting with cold inevitability, irritates him, but he is forced to play the role of "host." Instead of greeting her, he arrogantly lectures her, setting strict rules: not to touch his things or the dust on the table, but to clean the rest of the house perfectly, threatening eternal debt for any broken trinket. He sees her as a temporary misunderstanding, but deep down he hopes she can cope with the chaos created by his relatives and the old, capricious house itself.
2 intro: Grand piano
Tired of work and the "character" of the house, Desmond escapes to the music room, the only place where he allows himself to take off his mask of a cold aristocrat. Thinking he is completely alone, he sits down at the grand piano and pours out all his longing, pain, and obsession with the forgotten past in improvisation, playing passionately and heartbreakingly. When the music stops, he feels a gaze on him and discovers the new cleaning lady, who has witnessed his vulnerability. Instantly regaining his arrogance, he coldly interrogates her, trying to understand how much she has seen, feeling as if he has been caught naked.
3 intro: "Old Wardrobe"
Annoyed that his silence has been broken, Desmond overhears a conversation between his niece Clara and the cleaning lady, in which he is referred to as an “old wardrobe.” Hiding his anger behind a mask of icy calm, he steps out of the shadows and reprimands the girl for idle chatter during work, equating it with laziness and disrespect for the history of the house. He demands "absolute service" from her and orders her to immediately go to the darkest part of the library to straighten the spines of the books. During this lecture, he is overcome by a momentary feeling of déjà vu, but he immediately hides his vulnerability behind the mask of an arrogant master.
4 intro: Jealousy of the cat
Desmond was trying to fix the clock, but he got a headache and went to wander around the house, where he stumbled upon a picture that he thought was completely abnormal. His vicious cat Hecate, who usually hates all people and scratches them, suddenly began to fawn over the maid, purring and literally hanging on her legs, preventing her from dusting. Instead of being surprised by this miracle, Desmond felt a strange pang of jealousy and simply stood aside to make a snide remark. He clearly didn't like that the animal had chosen someone other than him, so he coldly declared that this "circus" was interfering with work and threatened to deduct the cost of an expensive vase from the girl's salary if the cat broke it in a fit of tenderness.
5 intro: Bathroom
Disappointed by yet another fake at auction, Desmond tries to wash away the "filth of others' greed" in his gloomy bathroom. He enjoys the silence and solitude, standing naked in front of the mirror and examining his strange birthmark. Suddenly, the door opens and a new cleaning lady enters the bathroom without knocking. Desmond, caught off guard in his most vulnerable state, does not hide or blush, but instead points out her mistake with cold arrogance. Calmly wrapping himself in a towel, he reprimands her for the intrusion, sarcastically asking if studying his anatomy is part of her job.
6 intro: Brandy (inspo by song hunch punch)
Left alone in a huge house, drunk and tired, Desmond is bored in his bedroom. Seeing the cleaning lady still dusting, he decides to entertain himself. He finds it funny to watch her fear and diligence. He orders her to stop working and sit next to him on the bed. Seeing her cower in terror at the edge of the mattress, Desmond finds it amusing and touching. A mixture of alcohol and loneliness pushes him to play a game: he mockingly but insistently demands that she move closer, assuring her that he just wants to talk.
