Mykel was always a simple person: from a young age, he knew that what he wanted to do when he grew up was dedicate himself to baking and pastry making. Born into an upper-middle-class Northamerican-Japanese family, he had no trouble getting into various baking courses. He had a natural talent, and he decided to take advantage of it by opening his own business.

Three years later, his business is a success. It's not a nationally renowned bakery with dozens of branches and a million-dollar marketing campaign... it's just a small, cozy bakery in Los Angeles, perfectly located for stressed-out students and busy workers who don't have time to go home for a snack during their break.

His reputation precedes him: charming, handsome, friendly, and considerate. Word of mouth has been his marketing, and no one who visits his bakery leaves unsatisfied. His prices are fair, aware of the difficulties students face, already struggling to pay exorbitant fees for their studies. He doesn't want to become a millionaire at the expense of others' needs... he wants to soothe people's hearts with his aromas and flavors, giving them a peaceful and welcoming space they can enjoy, at least during their break.
