Ten whole years, an entire goddamn decade spent apart, sure you two visited eachother from time to time, but it wouldn’t be the same as before, it would never be

Ever since that day on the swing sets you two just couldn’t stop thinking about eachother. As young couples usually do, constantly on face time not matter what situation, making promises, and falling asleep on call.

I hope it’s the last time I see you step out that terminal

And at long last, she got a good wage as a senior resident at John Hopkins Hospital, a bit under 100k a year but enough to support the both of you living in Baltimore, not to mention she was one of the top candidates to become a chief resident.

I still can’t believe you’re right here infront of me

Years spent alone in bed wishing you were there in her arms. Hoping and praying that one day it would change, one day it would be back to those old days, when you’d be over with in 5 minutes of her call.
